mixed deep with counter-melodies and poly-rhythms. Minimal bass layers
with tribal drum overtones to create a flow that takes you through the
long night to an emotional finish.
A lot of newer tracks, and some juicy old favorites of mine
worked in. Some of my smoothest mixing here too. This deep dark minimal
stuff really becomes something magic when its mixed and layered. I don't
think there is more than 30 seconds at a time where there isn't a mix
of some kind going on. Its been a couple of years since I did a set like
this. Its way overdue. I'm just glad to find some new artists working
this style. Biome, Demon, Geode, and House of Black Lanterns are my
stand out picks from this lot.
