This is a new series I am started. However unlike my other series this will be an annual event. Every year for the foreseeable future I intend to release a summertime mix. Sometimes it will a “Best Of” mix or follow the summertime theme.
This year's mix focuses on Alexander O'Neal. The great R&B singer and former lead singer of the group Flyte Tyme, the precursor to renamed The Time. Alex's firing from the group put him a path to being one of the 80's R&B's greatest singer.
Although O'Neal is known for his ballads I didn't include any in this mix since I wanted to maintain an upbeat feel.
