Sunday 8th of february 2004, the Beach Boys performed in front of a sold out crowd of seven thousand on Cotteloe Beach, Western Australia.

Although shrouded in controversy over liquor licencing regulations, the team at Creative Events Management staged an event that was the first of its kind and to date, not been repeated.

Ask to perform a sunset mix, this gig will always be remembered with fond memories.  Beach goers nestling  in to position finding their own space in the sand, boats mouring in the bay, the natural sound of waves crashing on the beach, white cockatoos chatting away, perched high amongst the Norfolk Island pines, The Indiana Tea House backdrop and of course  the performance of this legendary Californian surf band.

From dub courtesy of New Zealand’s Salmonella Dub to the haunting licks from the Oil's in Wedding Cake Island. From the warm rhymes from Maxi Jazz to the slack-key guitar echoing from the Pacific, this is not  the type of mix tape for the average gym workout. Ideal for the drive from California to Vegas in a Pontiac Convertable  with the roof top down, under the warm Mojave desert rays.

Thanks to Mal for the recording and the Trojan for blowing the dust off.

Enjoy
