Hello everyone and Merry Christmas!!!
We have finally reached the end of another astonishing year for trance music and all genres of electronic music in general! Hope you are well, healthy and having a great time with your loved ones during this festive period.
Once again, this year we had a massive amount of great music released. So much so, that is was extremely difficult once again to choose the tracks for this two-part episode. Many of the tracks I would've like to play had to be cut down unfortunately. This year I decided to ditch labelling the tracks as being best of in some sub-genres or type of music they are. We just simply want to enjoy great quality music.
This two-part special contains a total of 70 of my favorite tracks of this year in no particular order; 35 tracks for both uploads. Both uploads were mixed live using the Traktor Pro software. The first part is mostly filled with melodic tehcno, progressive and big room sounding trance tunes, together with some stunning vocal tracks and it leads to the end with a couple of really nice pseudo-psy tracks. The second part starts with a few reworked classics and some remarkable and unexpected releases from this year and then goes until the end full on uplifting mode and it is once again a rollercoaster of emotions and has a nice feel good vibe running all the way through. The track of the year was extremely hard to choose as there were so many memorable tracks but in the end I went with Mr. Craig Connelly's uplifting vocal gem together with HALIENE, called 'Other Side Of The World'.
