In my opinion, apart from pleasing your ears, the responsibility of a DJ is to promote artists & their music, which is only fair as it is with their colours we paint our canvases. With that in mind, it's time for another label showcase mix: DeepWit Recordings.
Created in 2011 by Alvaro Hylander & Sierra Maydell, DeepWit has featured some pretty impressive artists along the way, both known & unknown, not to mention putting forth the very best kind of deep house music. The 12 tracks I have selected for this mix are just the tip of this deep house iceberg. So much so, that I'm planning a 2nd volume.
This mix sees me returning to deep house after a long sojourn in the land of liquid DnB. It takes me back to the days of listening to mixes from such labels as Bargrooves & Naked Music: deep, soulful, relaxing & groovy stuff. Enjoy! :)
