It's not about me or any amazing DJ tricks that I could do - it's about the MUSIC. I am Seanskee, a DJ since 1979. I am an experienced nightclub, event, festival and mix-show DJ. I have played to crowds from the hundreds, to thousands, to tens(hundreds?)-of-thousands in clubs, theaters, events and on TV. My work has taken me from Chicago, to Los Angeles, New York City and San Francisco, among many other cities in the U.S. In Chicago during the rise of House Music in the 1980s and early 1990s -I was Director of Audiotalent/Chicago Music Pool, and wrote / edited / published Street Mix Magazine. As an influential taste-maker, I was featured in clubs like Domaine, Le Passage, Red Dragon, Shelter, China Club, Esoteria, NRG, Baja Beach Club, Tijuana Yacht Club, Sabrina, Eddie Rockets, S.O.P., and many others around all of the Chicagoland area. I have opened for Deee-Lite, and performed on live TV for New Year's Eve celebration on CBS Chicago broadcast from China Club, among other notable events. I was in the music business for 20+ years working for record labels and management companies, working artists' projects from LaTour, Jamie Principle, Cookie Watkins, Steve "Silk" Hurley, M-Doc; and others like Rage Against the Machine, Korn, Funkdoobiest, Volume 10, Cypress Hill, House of Pain, Machines of Loving Grace, The Crow Soundtrack and more. I moved into radio as an on-air personality which led to being a music director, program director and operations manager for Top-40, Rhythmic and Alternative/Modern Rock stations in several states in the USA. I produced and hosted a mix-show for 8 years in Northern California on public radio station KRCB-FM, featuring some of the best DJs from around the world. I am also a remixer, editor and producer with new works coming. Currently I reside on the Florida Suncoast, working on and posting new mix sets online and streaming projects. baiodeejay was born in Milan in 1970; grew artistically between dark music and anglo-saxon psychedelia, finds his musical identification in the panorama techno and trance tied to the Detroit scene of the 90's (Damon Wild, Mix Master Morris, Ritchie Hawtin, Orlando Voorn, Jeff Mills, Tim Xavier etc). In the 2000s the his love for the new electronics and a growing interest in house music artistically they will direct him toward the minimal - house and electro mainly linked to Berlin's German scene; musical style influenced by artists like Kraftuerk, Pink Floyd, Brian Eno etc. Matured in the Milan underground scene; today is the owner of an independent record label, called Habitat Recordings L.T.D, founded in the late '90s as well as DJ of some milanese and european clubs where also performs with his crew. Haha just a ...closet case Turntablest here. I have been playing with wax and tracks for many years....it grew organically from my severe picky-ness and the desperate search for music (samples,loops,stems and sounds) that I like which all to often ended in disappointment. I do play out (though rarely) on occasion I love being at one with the music....I have to admit...I would rather have my claimed space in front of a speaker on the dance floor than being trapped in the little DJ booth concentrating on not trainwrecking .LOL ...... nowadays I have more success with searches ending fruitfully; yet the genere's are so crossbred (in bass styles) that you have to listen to all that's available. Often I still end up with an "ALMOST DOPE" track that is shot full of some irritating shit that ruins it for me. I 'm addicted to da basslines......loud, hard hitting, pounding, rolling, bouncing, making cookies I don't care what it does as long as it breaks and dumps. I still love the old 808 styles from the 80's like 2LiveCrew and Egyption Lover (still love and play their stuff). Fixx, Icey and BabyAnn would get me going but some of the stuff coming out now is incredible...I hope I find it ALLLLLLLLLL! Feel free to share a link of something bassssssssy....
