Jan McWilliams “DJ Jan The Man” is no stranger to the Jersey Shore, working in the beachside clubs since the early 80’s. Jan has packed the dancefloors of clubs from Long Branch to Seaside Heights. His residency at the Polo Club in the mid-80s to early 90s was unmatched by any other Friday and Saturday nights. With the line wrapped around the building, once inside Jan would create a club experience like no other. Playing everything from classic disco right up to the era’s hottest dance jams. worked as DJ ,in Manchester clubs late 70,s and 80,s ,also worked as backup/ agency DJ at the Warehouse & then best club in the world "The Hacienda" later married , went mobile (earn extra money) ,moved to entertainment agency ,worked most of the hi end hotels around Manchester and surrounding areas, to up head Dj residency at the Willows Salford ,up until it closure ,retired from the DJ scene , when wife was taken ill ,most of my DJ life was in the club scene , but northern soul was my escape, early in life I used to go to the casino , blue room, twisted wheel catacombs' torch ,mecca, plus rake of smaller venues: :Sincere apology's to any that have followed me , have not done much on here or work wise , I retired from the Club & DJ scene , when my wife found out she had cancer ,spent most of my time looking after her ,however since loosing her battle with the big C ,(July 2020)and the fact she told me to throw myself back into music once she had gone ,I am doing just that ,everything I upload from Jan 2021 is dedicated to her memory ,Thank you for the time we had together my love, gone but not forgotten. R.I.P Elsa my one and only Love, . . .
