Filthy Rich plays distinct styles - Techno , and Minimal Tech, his own definitive and inimitable "dirty" style. Influenced by DJ's such as Richie Hawtin Chris Liebing Adam Beyer Drumcell Joseph Capriati Audio injection Speed j Tim Xavier Jerome Sydenham Kenny Larkin Cristian Varela Umek DJ Filthy Rich has soaked up styles from around the world and has created his own brand of music. Starting out as an inquisitive kid from the back streets of South London and soaking up the hard core styles of the late 80's, DJ Filthy Rich was introduced to the pioneering music and advancement of DJ greats such as Andy C , Groove Rider, Ray Keith, Dillinger, DJ Zinc and DJ Hype. This is one DJ not to be messed with! Transfixed and seduced by the movement and buying his first decks at 15 years old, DJ Filthy Rich learnt his art and style firstly in his bedroom playing and sampling Jungle tracks by DJ’s such as Hype, Groove Rider, Kenny Ken and Randall. This quickly developed into his “sound” which was soon being appreciated by friends and acquaintances at various house parties in and around South London. These parties were well known for their competitive edge between up and coming DJ’s using the latest “test presses” and “dub plates” in an effort to find something fresh and new. The evolution to Drum & Base meant that at around this time Dillinger , J Magic and Lemon D were huge influences because of their dark and dirty beats bringing a completely new style and sound to Drum and Base. Dj Filthy Rich’s passion and commitment to the cause soon had him playing small, local clubs spinning Jungle and Drum & Base tunes. Older and wiser to the movement DJ Filthy Rich began soul searching and experimenting in House music. Almost immediately he discovered the parallels between Drum & Base and House and soon became immersed in the Hard House scene. Brothers in arms that were huge influences at the time were Brad Clarke, Andy Farley, Spencer Freeland, Skol, Rooster, Rickster Graduating from the small venues that had been a rich playing ground for the up and coming artist, DJ Filthy Rich began tearing up the club scene with his definitive sound of Filth. Playing at premiere venues such as Ibiza Space , Es Paradis, Miss Money Penny Boho, Kanya ,Eden Ministry of Sound, Camden Palace, Brixton Academy, The fridge, Cloud Nine, 414 and The Chunnel Club Fantasyboatparty,Dirrrty Beach Party DJ Filthy Rich became synonymous with his ripping, high energy, bouncy and funky style. This caught the attention of a number of mainstream promoters which evolved into a host of gigs that DJ Filty Rich was invited to play at. Promoters that have had the pleasure of working with DJ Filthy Rich include Frantic, Nucleus, Twisted, Sunny Side Up, Strawberry Sundays, Provocation, Mind Over Matter, Aphrodisiac, and Euphoria. Driven by the love of his art and craft DJ Filthy Rich has now realised his dream by bringing together all his years of experience and passion by creating Dirty Ego – a business committed to Club Promotions, and Music Audio Injuction Chris Liebing Adam Beyer
