It is unorthodox but effective. It is not the mix as much as the BEATS I enjoy the most. Metro Beatz is a South Florida based DJ/Producer/Remixer/Engineer of House/Electronic, R&B & Hip Hop Music for Music Of Class Productions and MOCRadio Network. Metro Beatz also known as 'LC' orginally from Lawrence, Ma has a long history & career in music since the mid 80s starting with his first rap group 'The Fresh Express - Stop (Before You Get Started)' which was a local hit in Greensboro, NC then scored an underground rap hit in 1990 with his group 'Mind Over Matter - Invisible Enemy' Soon after, Metro Beatz would move to Atlanta in 1990 working with several upcoming R&B & Hip artist, working at records stores, spinning at clubs in Atlanta and spinning mixtapes eventually collaborating with Chris Brann from Wamdue Kids, he caught the bug for House music, relocated to South Florida spinning on Miami's number one station Hot 105, spinning celebrity parties and released his first solo House music project on Terrence Parker's 'Parker MusicWorks Label' in 2008. Currently Metro Beatz now releases fresh new House Music on his own imprint 'Music Of Class' through Symphonic Distribution. For the last couple of years I've been fortunate enough to have DJ'ing as my full time job, doing +200 gigs a year. I adapt my mixing according to the genres and expectations from the crowd, but I always try to build an atmosphere that take my audience to some kind of euphoric happiness. Straight forward mixing doesn't leave much room for errors but when it's tight. it's beautiful. I like progress and I embrace new technology as long as knowledge and skill is what's behind the use of it. Here, I can listen to all your nice uploads and get inspired to learn new stuff. I play a lot of funk/soul/disco originals and only manual mixing does it as you have to ''feel'' the mixes to get 'em right. That's why I never use sync 'n' rarely the quantize function. All my mixes are made in one take. No editing. I prepare my music, not my mixes. What you hear, is what you can expect to hear when I play live. Unless something critical happens, I don't restart the recording. Some people don't agree with me in this, but for me to do it in another way, would be like cheating to my customers. So yes, there will be errors once in a while and that's how it is. There's no start overs in real live gigs, and that's what I practice for. You who take your time to listen to my mixes here, are just as important to me as the crowd in a venue, so I put the same focus in my mixes as I do on live gigs. With initals like that, Dan was born to DJ. He began DJing in the University of London circuit in 1998 and has been a professional function, corporate and club DJ since 2002. He has since rocked prestigious venues such as Cafe de Paris, Piccadilly Institute, Cafe Royal, Emirates Stadium and many Park Lane Hotels. He has torn up the dancefloor at clubs such as Ministry of Sound, Egg and Beat. His international DJ career has taken him as far-flung as South Africa and Cyprus.
