I was born in Quebec, Canada. Very young, I developed an interest in dance music, it was always the most rhythmic songs that held my attention on the radio. My first 12 '' I bought was “Love Is In Control” by Donna Summer in 1982, but it was in 1987 that I really started my vinyl collection at a store named Import-O-Son where I also learned the basis of DJing. In 1988 I bought my first mixer that I connected with two family’s turntables. In 1990, I bought my own sound system and my own turntables, I was then addicted. In 1991, I began my series of mix tape called Martymix. I was selling for the bargain price of... $7. I also started my short DJ career; I was doing occasional replacement in a club for teenagers. I also made some mobile disco parties, my biggest being the Christmas party of policemen and firefighter of Quebec City. In 1994, a fire severely damaged my vinyl collection and my sound system. Also, having to start from scratch ended my DJ aspirations. I did get the opportunity to work with Beaugarte’s DJ Christian Pelletier in Ste-Foy. I remember once on a Monday night when there was a lot more customers than usual, I was requisitioned to play music to people who wanted to dance (there was never a DJ or dance on Mondays). This was my last live performance. I eventually returned to school in computer science and started my real career in life. In 2012, being nostalgic of DJing, I bought a small iDJ console to get back in the "beat", but it was not until early 2014 that I really got to work producing a mix of my favorite 50 songs of the year 2013. I then got the idea of reproducing my Martymix tapes with my console, and later launched my series club-a-holic to get in today’s sounds. Although today's technologies greatly facilitate the work of the DJ, I always have great pleasures behind my console and my computer trying to create the best transitions for my listeners.

DJ, Producer, Remixer and more importantly Music Lover and aficionado - presenting: Tate Strauss Whilst Tate Strauss takes his music seriously, he takes his love of house music to another level. With this comes a profound respect for the dance floor and its inhabitants, whom he regards as his people, taking them on a sonic voyage hit record after hit record. Having commenced his first residency back in 1998, this love has become his passion further solidifying his stature in the Australian dance music scene with many regular gigs at nightclubs, events and festivals nationwide. Behind the decks Tate Strauss is a master on the decks, his weapon of choice. Delivering moments of “Hands in the Air Full Throttle Big Room House” goodness, his ability to appease the perfectionist purveyors whilst scintillating the masses in one fell swoop, is guaranteed to get any and every dance floor pumping. This musically and methodically oriented approach is to set structure and programming, combined with his deft skills and his huge arsenal of personal bootlegs and remixes pushes the crowd to the limit and sets him aside from the rank and file of mediocrity. With his origins in the underground music scene, way before dance became the phenomenon it is now, Tate’s knowledge of obscure releases from way back just adds another element to his vast music knowledge and experience behind the decks. Added to this experience are stints at Richmond Recording studios, Get Down and Thump Records, working for Chevron nightclub as in-house sound and lighting tech, running the largest underage parties at Metro nightclub along with being one of the driving forces behind the underground dance party and rave scene. This led to 5 night a week DJ gigs where his craft was further honed and perfected. He has recently DJ’ed with other like-minded music aficionados, names such as Sidney Samson, Ian Carey, Static Revenger, Tommy Trash, Hook N Sling, Danzel Park, Sgt Slick, John Course, Tonite Only, Stafford Brothers, Mind Electric, Bass Kleph, Vandalism and TV Rock to namedrop but a few. 2010/2011 saw Tate pack out clubs in Shanghai and Hong Kong for corporate clients such as Bulgari. His production skills have enabled a cohesive collaboration with Mobin Master (who himself has had amazing international chart and touring success), enabling the public to tap into the trendsetting and original Safari Music sound (original "Floor Fillers" and "Pumping Hands in the Air Remixes"). In addition to doing production for Safari, Tate was in charge of all the A&R and PR for Safari Music. Over the past few years Tate has uses his business skills in setting up one of DJs and Tastemakers homepage > http://www.melbournebounce.com.au

I have two Dennon HS5500 which is like having 4 turntables since you can play 2 tracks from the same player along with a DJM-600-K PIONEER MIXER. aahhh You don't want to know!!!! but mostly my own home made mixes specially done for the party I do. I like to do a "show" of what people have requested ahead of time so I like to make a mix or two with extra effects and get rid of all the boring intros and outros that sometimes seem they go forever. I am a paralegal in the day time. I have been working there for 16 years and I ;also do hair in the evenings. I ;love cutting hair and doing "Glamour" make up. ; Also, I ;dj on the weekends mainly for "fundraiser". I ;like to help people that are suffering from Alzheimers since my dad was just diagnosed with it, I also do it for people with Cancer and Aids by donating my time and money. My dad was a musician all his life so I have the music in me but as I was growing up I loved to hear really high energy disco, and then tribal, techno, rave but I now enjoy the diva house music with a touch of tribal touch.

I've been a DJ set builder since the turn of the millennium and I started out collecting vinyl. I love its special unique atmosphere of global gatherings in clubs or festivals, lacing us with groundbreaking euphoric feelings on dance floors or just listening spaced out somewhere. I started out listening to old skool hardcore rave anthems and electronic dance music has been inspirational to the way I think, feel and breathe. DJ tunes, oldskool anthems, fresh cuts and classics - music has been making me smile, tingle, rush and move ever since. -_-d
