annex is Ann Hairston, multi-instrumentalist ,producer,remixer and dj. Her credits include NY cast of STOMP, tours with Luscious Jackson, N'dea Davenport and Macy Gray. DJ/Producer Annex emerged on the scene big time beginning in 2002 with a three record deal with Francois K’s label “Wave Music” Two of her tracks, Get Down & The Bazaar, were featured on Francois K's acclaimed release Live at Sonar in Spain.The Bazaar was in the top ten on BPM magazine's Worldwide DJ chart and DJ Magazine's Top 100 Hype chart. In 2005 Annex joined forces with Will Thomas releasing two hit tracks on the Wavetec label under the name Gravity Beats. D-Light was a hit with major dj support (Francois K,Hector Romero) and a review in XLR8RR magazine.Since 2007 Annex has released her deep house and tribal tracks on Slanted Black,SoundGroove,Coraza, Playloop and KULT. Deep,Tribal and Progressive House fans have heard her soulful sets at the Sullivan Room, Alibi, Pearl Lounge,Moomia, Market Cafe, Fat Buddha,Arena, Sky Room, Keybar and The Polar Lounge in NYC, Club Rise, Boston, and Twist, Whitelaw and Chelsea in Miami.
