Hi all, My real name is Dean Rooker and I am from sunny Wolverhampton! My DJ name is Deanossa, this originates from back in the day when my friend and I used to practice on the decks. It seemed to just pop out of my mates (Phil Turner - aka DJ Burner) mouth one day and its stuck ever since. So there you go, that is how Deanossa was born! I love hard house and hard trance, I have done since my early teens. I used to go clubbing galore at some top clubs around the country and go to some amazing events such as Mezzanine May Day Ball, Gatecrasher Summer Sound Sytem and many Christmas and New Year events. I was and still am a follower of Tidy Trax, I love their stuff and to honest I take a lot of insipration from them. I first started out with a pair of Limit Decks and a cheap but solid Numark Mixer, I practiced for hours on end, for months before things started to finally click, however I was held back by my poor decks that used to be almost impossible to beat match despite being direct drive. I finally moved up the ladder to a second hand pair of vestax which were a great step up. My favourites though without a shadow of a doubt, were DJ Burner's Technics 1210's and his Kaos Pad setup. We had some wicked times! Currently I am using new technologies to mix these days and one of the main reasons for this is space. I use MP3's or my preferred choice of WAV files and a Numark NS6 USB Controller which utilises Serato Itch 2. One word to sum up my feelings for my current setup - Awesome! Well this is me, and that is my short story, Enjoy the music, Share the music, Dance hard to the music and please dont forget to pass my name on - DEANOSSA! I am very interested in doing any DJ works in Clubs or Parties and I am also extremely interested in learning how to produce my own intro and would then like to step up and produce my own tracks. If you can help me along my way please do get in touch. RT: real name, Matthew Fernando Rodriguez Read or Rik Tights when DJing.. Trance producer, DJ & C.E.O. of Cymraeg-Trance Recordings Before he started playing (during what he terms the "clubbing days"), He spent most the night in the corridors of clubs as he couldn't decide on which room to dance in (Trance or House). After the clubbing ended he started doing a bit of remixing / production on his PC in his spare time. #TightsTrance https://twitter.com/cymraegtrance https://www.beatport.com/artist/rt/111794 https://recordings.cymraeg-trance.info/index.php https://open.spotify.com/artist/4SRrQIrWpdpWqpb5gga7HQ?si=IdLbsA6STDO7yOPCXvf-nw https://cymraeg-trance.info

Music has been at the centre of my life for as long as I can remember and im confident to say its shaped who I am today. From a very young age I was very much into Syththesized music , especially Jean Michelle Jarre (one of my all time heroes). Along side this I loved early electro house and Detroit techno so naturally , was blown away with the late 80’s acid house explosion and even more so by the early 90’s Rave explosion, and this is where my passion really set in. I first went on a pair of decks at the tender age of 9 years old (1991), and around this time got 1xdeck for Christmas, now….clearly you don’t have to be a dj to understand that this is useless for mixing, but, for beatmatching, this was the best thing you could imagine! Id beatmatch vinyls to tapes,or anything that was playing in the house, and by the time I got my 2nd deck and mixer at 12years old, the learning curve of beatmatching was already mastered! Now, musically , im predominantly Hardcore, always have been, from early breakbeat hardcore right through to todays sounds. Ive loved the evolution of the sound and have the same passion for the sound as I did 20 years ago. Trance was a major influence for me in the 90’s too , especially Paul Oakenfold/Sasha/Digweed to name a few….their ability to seamlessly blend tracks together over the course of an hour or so and leave me feeling like id been on a musical journey really inspired me and applied this same technique to everything I mixed. Today, I concentrate mainly on Uk Hardcore and Hard dance, which while im “here” must mention how impressed and inspiring I find hard dance at the mo , from the techy minimal sounds right through to the tough hardstyle sounds of Europe, I feel this scene has got a lot to offer and has something for everyone. Im loving the Hard dance scene as a whole at the moment, whether it be Breakbeats/Kickdrums/trancey/ravey/techy/fast/slow…..the scene in my eyes is as diverse as its ever been, whatever others may think! Music is a way of life!

It is with a heavy heart I have decided to retire from "paid" Dj work. I have had over 30 years in the game and have played to 10 people and a club at capacity of over 5000. I will still be realising the odd mix on here. I just want to thank everyone who was supported me over the years. Stay blessed and live for the music. Regards GeeMix x
