baiodeejay was born in Milan in 1970; grew artistically between dark music and anglo-saxon psychedelia, finds his musical identification in the panorama techno and trance tied to the Detroit scene of the 90's (Damon Wild, Mix Master Morris, Ritchie Hawtin, Orlando Voorn, Jeff Mills, Tim Xavier etc). In the 2000s the his love for the new electronics and a growing interest in house music artistically they will direct him toward the minimal - house and electro mainly linked to Berlin's German scene; musical style influenced by artists like Kraftuerk, Pink Floyd, Brian Eno etc. Matured in the Milan underground scene; today is the owner of an independent record label, called Habitat Recordings L.T.D, founded in the late '90s as well as DJ of some milanese and european clubs where also performs with his crew. I grew up in Zadar, revealed music very young in the mid 90's, and then begin my interest in electronic music, while at the beginning of 2000s i purchased my first dj equipment and began to investigate the various genres of electronic music, like deep, funky, tech, vocal, disco, soulful and classic house, and from producers who have influenced my choice of music there are: Christian Hornbostel, Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles, Ronn Carroll, Basement Jaxx, Armand Van Helden, Larry Levan and the entire Chicago house scene and pioneers of house music . Behind me are various residencies in clubs like: GOTHAM club (Zadar), FORUM club (Zadar), LA HABANA beach club (St. Philip and Jacob / Zadar), MAYA pub (Zadar), Zoilo bar (Zadar), SATURNUS disco (Zaton / Zadar) YACHTING bar (Zadar), and collaborated with other clubs: MARASCHINO bar (Zadar), HITCH club (Zadar), Q bar (Zadar), Arsenal (Zadar), Shambala (Zagreb), Mango (Zadar), Carpi More (Biograd), Dali Bar (Zadar), etc. I also worked as a promoter of nightlife and club music on the radio 057 (Zadar). Hello Party People! I am DJ SoulSh@ker, DJ Emi@L older name (Emile Banen). From the 80's i was fascinated to listen mixes on radio 3 The BVD (Bond van Doorstarters) So i thought i can do this too. Make cut and past mixes on The Akai GX-635D reel to reel tapedeck with 10" Maxell alluminium reels. After that i was fascinated to mix music on old audio and vintage DJ Gear. Repair them if it doesn't work. And sell them if i had enough of it. First mixes what i made where broadcasted on radio 538 "The Dance Top 40" in 1997. I recorded the mixes and jingles (With my own voice) on tape (Tape decks) and later on 386 computers. And after that on MD'.s (Minidiscs). Also i have make enough homemade projects like amplifiers, speakers and 3mtr transmitters. (Yes i was a pirate on the radio in the 90's) with many school and outside friends. I started Djing in1985. The biggest influence on the music I play came from the "Hot Mix 5". Later influences came from Frankie Knuckles, Ron Hardy, Lil Louis, Fast Eddie, Bad Boy Bill, Farris Thomas, DJ Rush, Boo Williams, Glenn Underground, Steve Hurley, Larry Heard, Marshall Jefferson, Mike Dunn, and Russell Miller a.k.a. DJ 78. I LOVE MY DISCO !!! Growing up in the "Windy City" HOUSE was KING!!! It was the heart beat of the city in my teen years.
