I like to introduce myself to all music lovers: DJBEAR a.k.a DJBERKAND “Purveyor of deep, infectious dance grooves and a feel-good atmosphere.” That’s how Berkand describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up on his father’s eclectic combination of Rock N Roll music (Elvis Presley,The Beatles), European pop stars (Mina, Julio Iglesias, Adriano Celentano), synth-infused 80s music (Depeche Mode, Gary Numan)… all which became infused with his own love for both disco, jazz and soft rock music, Berkand ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: beautiful synth work, ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks… all on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling house beat. A very active member of Deep House community, Berkand is no stranger to the ups-and-downs of a small-town music scene. Though he loves playing in nightclubs, patios and special events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As a producer, amateur pianist, and promoter, he has found plenty of ways to express himself musically. Dj Ceddy Ced has been in the entertainment business for over thirty years. Ceddy started off as a disc jockey in 1978...by 1983 he owned his own night club ..called The Beat... Which at that time ventured into concert promotions... Several eighties stars visited the club ...World Class Wrecking Crew..LA Dream Team...Bobby Jimmy and The Critters... And Timex Social Club just to name a few.. Over the years Ceddy has worked with a host of artist under the guidance of his late mentor Mr. Robert Brookins. In the late eighties Ceddy turned his love for music into a entertainment magazine called The Loop... Who worked with such stars like Brandy...Boyz II Men... Janet Jackson... And more...
