In the early nineties, I've played professionally in Bratislava, at the time when the country begun it's transition to new and better times. Early on, I have tried to find my own style and take the extra effort to play stuff that nobody played, especially on the radio. We used to buy DMC previews from London, but more often than not we were on the road to Munich, and Vienna to buy stuff that was not on the charts. House music back then was simple. In 92, I've found my way to the US as a student and begun in Brooklyn with nothing but bag of clothes and about a grand in my pocket. It was an awesome time, the music scene in NYC was great, Funk Master, Junior Vasquez, Chris the Greek, Hot 97. I've spent a decade studying and working in the city, and eventually landed in Charlotte, NC. Once you were a DJ, you will never look at it the same way, you will always seek that new sound and inspiration. This platform allows me to experience that feeling once more!

Paul Matthew began his djing career back in 1995 and has not looked back since then. Music has been the constant in his life that has gotten him to this point. His niche in the Electronic Music scene is Trance, but plays everything in the range of Ambient , House , Tribal House, Progressive Breaks, Progressive Trance , Psy Trance , and Progressive Psy Trance. Playing several clubs and raves in the Milwaukee and Chicago areas earned him a lucrative residency spot at Milwaukee's legendary Bassment from 1999-2001 playing alongside the big name acts of that time. Today , Paul's djing has taken him into a slightly different direction as he was brought on as co-host of Milwaukee's own Latenight Beat Generation , which can be heard every Saturday night from 9-12 PM(CST) on 91.7 FM WMSE , and has been doing so since November of 2011. The range of music influences on Paul are all over the board. His biggest influences , though , are Depeche Mode , Pet Shop Boys , New Order , Inspiral Carpets , Ned's Atomic Dustbin , U2 , etc , and lately Angels & Airwaves , Kill Hannah , and Thirty Seconds From Mars. Paul is now moving towards doing music production including ambient , trance and cinematic scoring. The music is always evolving and Paul will continue to evolve with it.

ATTENTION! Please be aware I no longer post mixes on house-mixes. If you have happened to have recently discovered me or listened to me before, you can find me still posting mixes on soundcloud & mixcloud. Been spinning since 88 and after a 10yr absence I returned a few years back to start mixing again. Before my "retirement", I played at a number of clubs and had residencies at the "infamous" Legends in Old Burlington St and at the Emporium in Soho. I currently mix for fun, but if the right opportunity presented itself Imight be interested in playing out again. My style of mixing is (I like to think) smooth, Itry to take the listener on a rhythmical adventure / journey. I particularly enjoy creating something between the mixes (when possible!) rather than simply going from deck to deck, so if you find yourself; a) loving the tunes, b) having an irresistable urge to dance and c) then realise you haven`t got a clue which tune you`re listening to, then I`m doing my job. My musical style usually falls into 3 categories; deep,soulful or nu disco but always funky. Would love to hear your comments on my mixes, don`t be shy. Dear Friends of Music Since I can go, I have been interested in music. I could never save money during my apprenticeship, because I spent everything on new LPs and musicarrangements. Meanwhile a music studio had become from my room, later even a really professional mix studio. Till this day I observe the music scene daily. Little does more joy than good sound to me. In the meantime, I have mixed more than 40000 sound carriers as well as some sampler. Of course you are able to pre-listen on my homepage my newest CDs.
