Su nombre artístico proviene de las siglas de su nombre de pila, que forman L.A Originariamente se hacía llamar Dj L.A pero más tarde optó por adaptar la ortografía a la fonética de su nombre artísitco. De esta manera se formó Dj Eley, Nacido en Perú pero criado en Barcelona, España. Viene influenciado por el hip hop y la música negra en general desde muy temprana edad creciendo con artitas como 2pac, dr dre, notorious big, mobb deep, erick b & rakim, onyx, old dirty bastard, Nas, naughty by nature... hasta cool and the gang, cypress hill, michael jackson, curtis blow entre otros. El estilo de DJELEY se caracteriza por la adaptación a todo tipo de estilo musical partiendo de la base del hip hop tanto old school como actual, y su variación de gustos musicales que le llevan a mezclar todo tipo de estilos.
