J Dovy has created his own style of “filtered house,” and “tekfunk.” Combining the two ingredients with a deep house vibe you can hear early influences by pioneers Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Shep Petibone, and Todd Terry. In 1997 J Dovy released his first track titled “Deep in Underground” on House Trade Records, under the moniker D&S. Later in 2010 he signed with various dance labels releasing more than 150 tracks on Soul Shift Music, Law Recordings, Disco Birds, Nylon Trax Records, and many others. His weekly podcast, “Burn It” consisting of deep house mixes grew a large audience with over 50,000 downloads over a three year period time, making it a total of 90 episodes. J Dovy helped put Lyon, France on the map while collaborating with other local artists and musicians. He formed Men From Nobu with fellow band mate Vartan Fau, a jazz pianist. “Nobu” is a track by Herbie Hancock, a popular musician beloved by the duo. Previous releases, were made under the names of Effendi and FueL, on Dovy’s chill out and funk label Lokossa Music. J’s second label Raw Matter Recordings caters to the more underground vibe releasing music from lesser known artists. Both labels have made boutique shop recommendations, such as Traxsource, Juno Download, also charted by DJ and producer Larry Heard. In 2014 J Dovy regrouped the two labels Raw Matter Recordings and Lokossa Music and formed dovymusic with sub labels Groove Park Records and somanymusic.

Hello Party People! I am DJ SoulSh@ker, DJ Emi@L older name (Emile Banen). From the 80's i was fascinated to listen mixes on radio 3 The BVD (Bond van Doorstarters) So i thought i can do this too. Make cut and past mixes on The Akai GX-635D reel to reel tapedeck with 10" Maxell alluminium reels. After that i was fascinated to mix music on old audio and vintage DJ Gear. Repair them if it doesn't work. And sell them if i had enough of it. First mixes what i made where broadcasted on radio 538 "The Dance Top 40" in 1997. I recorded the mixes and jingles (With my own voice) on tape (Tape decks) and later on 386 computers. And after that on MD'.s (Minidiscs). Also i have make enough homemade projects like amplifiers, speakers and 3mtr transmitters. (Yes i was a pirate on the radio in the 90's) with many school and outside friends. Dear Friends of Music Since I can go, I have been interested in music. I could never save money during my apprenticeship, because I spent everything on new LPs and musicarrangements. Meanwhile a music studio had become from my room, later even a really professional mix studio. Till this day I observe the music scene daily. Little does more joy than good sound to me. In the meantime, I have mixed more than 40000 sound carriers as well as some sampler. Of course you are able to pre-listen on my homepage my newest CDs. However, you can still discover even more.In the 90s I have often worked also as a DJ. I put on in events, in clubs, in radio stations and in roller skate discos. Chris Liebing, Sven Väth, Super Flu, Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner, Carl Cox, Paul van Dyk, , DJ Rush, Felix Kröcher, Johannes Heil, Tobi Neumann, Karotte, Lucca, Alex erblickte 1983 das Licht der Welt. Musik war bei Alexander schon immer im Vordergrund. Mit 10 Jahren trat er einem Musikverein bei, dem er 15 Jahre treu blieb. Da er sich sehr zur elektronischen Musik hingezogen fühlte, besuchte er im Jahre 2002 die ersten Technopartys. Doch es dauerte noch ein weilchen bis er sich entschloss selbst die Kunst des Djing zu erlernen. Im Jahre 2006 kaufte sich Alexander sein erstes DJ Equipment um sich hingebungsvoll dem Djing zu widmen. Es kamen unzählige private Parties die er mit elektronischer Musik versorgen konnte. Sein Stil bewegte sich im Genre Hands Up und Dance. Im Jahre 2008 versuchte sich Alex im Genre Trance/Tech-Trance. Dadurch kam er zu dem Sender Sunshine Live in die Sendung "Hire & Fire". Hier konnte Alexander sein Können erstmals einem breiten Publikum vorstellen, was Ihm auch sehr gut gelang. Mitte 2009 wechselte er seine Musikrichtung und bewegt sich nun im Techno/ Minimal/Techno - Tech-House bereich. Durch seinen abwebslungsreichen Sound und seinen einzigartigen Auflegestil konnte Alex sein erstes booking verzeichnen. Seit dem geht es für Ihn bergauf. Es folgten weitere Bookings u.a. House Is Life and i am addicted Been collecting music for 36 years and very proud of my vinyl collection from the 80's/90's. In my opinion the 80's was the best time for music and left me inspired by the great musicians and artists who left a legacy behind and music is still influenced by those heroes. Not afraid to experiment with sounds and always searching the globe for something a little different, and if recent releases don't cater for my needs, then there is always the archives. My Listening Genre's - House, Soulful House, Deep House, Afro House, Jazz House, Latin House, Tribal House, Lounge, Nu-Jazz, Soul, RNB, D&B, Garage, 2 Step. Music has always been my pastime and enjoyed the occasional gigs and live sets, but never really took my passion to the next level. Life is kinda hectic and faded out of the scene for a considerable time but now back to basics doing what i enjoy, pretty serious about my music and hope that i can spread some joy along the way...love peace and prosperity to all. I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music.
