El Schabat Started with vinyl ...100% vinyl of course ;-). after some mixing experience and fun fun fun I started doing this with midi-controllers sending messages programming days and night untill it worked and did what I want them to do! via allen & heath's xone 2d xone 1d and a xone 42 in between. Novations launchpad and its LED give visual feedback from traktor pro 2 status. I am happy to see the new allen &heath k2 in february 2012. have fun with the mixes and thx for your feedback 4/4 and never stop this! el schabat ( ... ? ... )

Influenced heavily by Jersey Deep House; Detroit Techno; the UK Indie, Warehouse and Rave movements as well as the Dutch New Beat and Gabber scenes, Gee seamlessly mixes beats and genres in a crowd-pleasing and original manner. With more than 20 years in the business as an international dj, promoter, music director and writer, his diverse vision brings party people together. Markie Gee cut his teeth doing local punk shows and parties as an undergrad at Trinity College in the early 80’s. His eclectic programming of artists such as Front 242, DAF, Tackhead, Mantronix, Cabaret Voltaire and Arthur Russell lead to the creation of the CMJ RPM charts. Gee made a name for himself as a program/music director for college stations WWUH (1985 – 1987) and WESU (1996 – 1998).
