Biography: Jakub Bořuta aka Qosmio is a producer from Northern Slovakia. His first contact with DJing was in 2010. Qosmio music presents classic dark-techy, progressive, underground beats with massive kicks & basslines. Collaborate with leading music labels as Bonzai Progressive, Nueva Recordings, Discover Dark and White, TFB Records, Abstract Space, Mashbuk Music. Original groover from the UK with more years on the decks than I care to remember (even if I could). Time-served London vinyl-head with my first club residency in 1979 playing 60's & Northern Soul, British Beat Rhythm & Blues, Acid Jazz and Psychedelia then crossing over into House in 1988 after having my brain blown away at the 'Apocalypse Now' warehouse rave in the old Victoria Docks London (https://www.phatmedia.co.uk/flyers/event/apocalypse-now-1988-october). Since then I have played right through the House spectrum and had a blast. I also love digital and was an early adopter - it's opened up so many exciting new possibilities for DJs (and the big bonus of not lugging around record boxes) but you really can't beat the tactile joy of opening a new slice of vinyl and giving it a first spin. Had a pretty good run at DJ'ing, played internationally in 30 countries and at many iconic clubs along the way with some truly remarkable DJs. I play mainly private parties now - maybe 4 gigs a year if I'm lucky, but that's quite enough - these days I like to be tucked up in bed by midnight, not travelling halfway round the country/world for a 3am set! Day Raves - bring it on I can still dance my ass off if I've had my vitamin tablets and Lucozade. So why am I doing DJ mixes at my age - two reasons, firstly have had so many friends ask for mixes recently and re-starting my profile here seemed like the easiest way to get them round to everyone on whatever media they wanted to play them, and secondly there's some absolutely brilliant lesser known tracks in my vinyl collection that need to be digitised and put out there and enjoyed and discovered by other DJs before they are forgotten...or indeed before I'm 'brown bread'. I'm a lover of big production upbeat uplifting dance floor magic - if I don't like it, I don't play it, if I wouldn't dance to it, I don't play either! Just solid four-to-the-floor feel-good tunes (with surprises) mixed without effects the way we used to do it. Hi There! After a long hiatus I decided to get the decks out, dust of the vinyl and start mixing again. in 1990 after a travel i discover the techno music i bought his first K7 like :The Orb/razor edge 'import compilation'/808 state/LFO/Praga Khan/Two little boy/megabas/sl2/ & Many more acid beat,break,trance ..... it was a ravelation* for me and goes to big Party in Clubs like Le Rex -Le Palace – KitKat Privilege -le Néo-le Gibus-Rave party. etc…. In 1992 i started to mix with too k7 player and mixer for friend’s parties and started to be fan of the label Harthouse/Noom/EyeQ/Tip/DragonFLy/flying rhino/Platipus*Rising High*/(Fairway-Automate-Javelin)/Omnisonus/return to the source (acid trance-trancecore…)etcetc.... till this year he passed by different styles like: Techno,Techno-Ambient,Ambient* Hardcore,Tech, Trance ,Goa,Progressive house & melodic Techno... a big Thank to Guillaume la tortue , Jean Marie Koné , Olivier Planeix pour leurs superbes compilations et mix , scan X , Dj Sonic,L'exorciste aka chaotik ramses , Radio Mentale & FG*+Nova , Mazen "Techno Import" , Speedy J , Liza N'eliaz , Laurent Ho , The Orb , Fluke , underworld , Prodigy......& many many more for your neurophonic trip sharing. I do not claim in any case to be a pro dj or equivalent, I do this out of pure passion for the electro sound. I try to share and make you feel the emotion and the force that escapes from these styles of music that made me what I am. I focus on doing it the same way as some mixer compilations in the 90s.
