Elvin Ong (formerly known as DJ Jellybean X) is a producer/DJ hailing from Los Angeles, California. Growing up in Kuching, Malaysia, Elvin was constantly exposed to the sounds of Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, and Markus Schulz. Through every compilation, demo, and song found, this same passionate boy would grow up to become one of LA’s hottest upcoming artists. Ever since 1999, Elvin Ong has experimented in a variety of genres and is most noted for his works in EDM, including minimal and trance. Less than a year after his arrival to California, he started making headlines in popular music festivals such as A Happeee Place (2008), Black and White Festival (2008), and the Kandy Festival (2009). Today,Like his booming personality, Elvin’s sound has emanated across the globe. With original mixes such as Bruce Lee Bone Brew (Dead Heroes Remix) and Karma playing at clubs and events all around the world, he’s quickly become a crowd favorite. It’s through his liquid beats and hypnotizing rhythm that he reaches out into the crowd, and summons the abstract ecstasy in all of us into reality.

His success was instant and he picked up support from clubbers and promoters across the globe. After 2 successful seasons he set his sights to the top and decided to go all the way. Dj Velvet got more and more involved in the music so that in spring 1995 he played at big clubs all over the world. Nowadays he is dividing his time between producing and his big love, DJ-ing. His goal is to become one of the top DJ's in the world. DJ Velvet likes to describe his main style as groovy, sexy, pumping house with a progressive twist. He can be very different from one production to another. His ability to move the crowd with his flawless, energetic set, and his driving enthusiasm shakes the clubbers as he dances around behind the decks. In 1992 he was invited to be a guest DJ next too DJ Jean at club IT in Amsterdam. That was his first step in to the Hot nightlife of Amsterdam, and he decided never to leave it ever again.
