I got into records and mixing over 10 years ago, there were mates at school that had decks, some had the old belt drive decks, rinsing happy hardcore, d'n'b and hip hop. I started mixing trance for a couple of years, back end of the ibiza / cafe del mar era, then got into funky house, mainly tunes on erick morillos subliminal label. I've played in a couple of local clubs, done many party's, a mini festival and played on a few pirate stations. Now I spend my time on the production thing. I've done a college course on basic studio and computer based production. Been learning to play the guitar aswell, which helps with the theory side of making music.

I'm Ant, AKA Antz, AKA AntzDj, AKA Airwavepirate. originally from the Uk, now living in Brisbane, Australia. Been into music from an early age, being brought up around many different genres from ska, reggae, disco, rock, pop, acid, house, drum and bass to name a few. I think this is the reason I've never really stuck to one genre and have a love for and play all types of music. At the age of 14, in 1994, and loving D&B I borrowed some money off an uncle and bought some decks and records. Not being able to mix a beat with D&B, I decided to switch to happy hardcore to learn the basics. I picked this up pretty quickly and over time progressed into the other genres like D&B, House, Garage, Hip Hop etc. Over the years music has been more of a hobby to me. I've played some pub's, clubs, parties, run my own disco's and played lots of radio. Other than that, never really cemented anything down. Up until 2023 I'd not had much to do with music. Immigrating to Aus in 2015, and trying to get my feet on the ground, music took a back seat and my kit went into storage. But now it’s out again and I currently play every weekend at The Beat Mega Club. I will still try to get mixes up on here when i get the chance. Hope you enjoy.
