Started Djing way back in 1991, 15th Birthday. Started buying vinyl in 1989, first tune I ever brought, Stevie V - Dirty Cash. Over the years I've played at some big events, One Nation, Garage Nation, Jungle Fever, Sun City, Garage Fever to name a few, plus a shed load of illegal raves up and down the country. I like most genres and buy most genres even though my main love is oldskool hardcore. My set up includes 2 x Technics MK11 2 x Pioneer CDJ800 MK11 and a Denon MC6000 (Hardly Used) Peace and love to all

i started djing at 16 after months of begging the parents for months to buy me some 1210s,which i still use today going strong.my passion in music has to be old school piano, retro and vocal funky house if you cant sing to it then its no good lol.in the early nineties i started going clubbing, and for me to this day was the best for music.when i first got my 1210s i had no intension of djing in clubs it was just a hobby for and for my own enjoyment.i was actually tricked by a fellow dj and good friend who was already djing in clubs, when he phoned me up one thurday night and said he was ill and needed me to help him out and play at a bar for him,to which i found out later it was actually a dj competition to which he entered me and to my surprise i won to which the prize was residency at bradfords biggest dance club which pulled 700 to 800 in every friday and saturday night,my first night djing in the club was christmas eve which was packed out and i was shitting it,it was a big difference mixing some tracks in the bedroom and then to bid audience but i absolutely loved it and was hooked, and so my djing career was born. within the first year things went from strength to strength playing in numerous clubs all over yorkshire and holding down residencys and playing alongside some of the biggest names in the country (alister whitehead,k klass, paul taylor just to name a few) i was more known as a dj for my old school sets and so i was made a resident for retro which took me to ibiza djing at eden and loved every minute. in the mid 2000s i began working with a fellow dj (adam g) at a place called bar me which was just a bar not a club, but in the first 6 months playing there the profits soared 700% and went from a free bar and having to pay in on the door,so we sat down and thought were on to a winner here and decided to brand our own night and event, and so worship was born. our brand of night went from strength to strength holding down rooms at space, gatecrasher, visage and ethios, garlands and many more,we even ended up with our own radio show on a friday night on dvm radio (dance vinyll masters). i think the reason our night worked so well was because we didnt brand it as one style of music it was straight across the board,if it was a classic then it got played. in 2008 we decided to pull the brand as we both wanted to persue over interests,i decided to take a break from djing as it got to a stage where i stopped enjoying it and felt more of a chore going to work instead of doing something i loved. so now im back, loving my music more then ever and back on the scene :-)

I am a dj since 2003, have been playing in the most major part of Latvian night clubs and disco bars. At the very beginning I had to play pop music for pop people for the first few years (just couldn't call them as party people) but those were the days, when only that was club music. As the years were going I was introducing more and more house music on the stages. 2003 - 2005 were the loudest seasons for me – playing at the beach parties in Liepaja, a lot of events with Jaffa Riga, lots of sleepless nights... But, I had to have a short pause, nearly the whole 2006. At the end of 2006 I came back with 2 more my friends and a dj unity – Soul n Movement. And as a part of SnM I have a different direction from mainstream now (same as it was before) – If mostly is popular electro-shit house, progressive and pop-radio-music, I am pushing in new school sounds - Jackin’ and Deep House, also Funk cannot be forgotten. And people do like and do need it! If you need any more information about me or us, visit our website: www.soulnmovement.lv

Hello. I'm old, really, really old. I'm 40 in fact. I "came of age" musically in the year 1989 hearing some weird and freaky sounds emanating from the radio at daft o'clock. Odd squelchy, industrial sounds. I was hooked. The electronic music scene exploded and I was caught up in the blast. I suppose my earliest "electronic" influences were from my Dads Pink Floyd and ELO albums. Then Jean Michel Jarre. I love all electronic music really but my "jumping around like a Banana on a piece of string" moments tended to arise when listening to rave music. Mickey Finn, Grooverider, Sy, Ratty and Ellis Dee. I did enjoy the Hardcore side to it but found myself being drawn to the darker, junglier (?!?!) sounds. I bought my first set of decks in 92 and have owned many pairs since. I remember fondly opening my first set of 1210's and realising that these were the benchmark. THE decks. I have owned 3 pairs (1 x set of silver 1200's) of Technics and sadly sold my last pair in 2000 but I could never bear to part with my vinyl. I played at a couple of Illegal raves in Nottingham but the majority of my "work" was house parties. Many, many, many house parties be they at friends houses or friends of friends or just some fella that me and my mates met after a night out in Mansfield or wherever. After marrying my beautiful wife in 2008 I decided that I needed some decks in my life so I plumped for some direct drive decks (not Techinics. I know, disgraceful behaviour) and a mixer and started both playing my old stuff and buying some new stuff. I surprised myself with the amazing retention of "being able to mix" and decided to do a few CD's for my friends and colleagues at work. Some wanted old happy hardcore, others old D and B/jungle, others the new stuff. All went down well and with the advent of the Interweb thingy and after my good friend Mark suggested this site I thought i'd upload some. I am now the proud owner of Technics 1200mk5's and a Korg mixer. I am also now dipping my toe into the digital world. Look out for some new mixes coming soon..... Thanks. Foxual. 2 x Technics SL1200 mk3's, Korg mixer, Harman Kardon Amp, Sony CD recorder, Tascam portable digital recorder.

Hibernating liquid drum & bass DJ/producer from northern England. I'll get back on it one of these days! I'm a massive liquid lover but I tend to go for a darker, more melancholy sound. http://soundcloud.com/squeekz https://www.mixcloud.com/squeekz

My main style of drum and bass what i like to play at the moment is mostly a selection of newskool jungle drum n bass lots of deep rolling bass lines and hard step snares with dutty amen breaks,Tracks by artists such as ray keith, bladerunner ,serum ,mr explicit ,lighterman ,critical impact ,promenade ,terminus ,lionfire ,serial killaz ,northern lights ,colossus ,cabin fever uk ,savage rehab ,diamond geezer ,phantom warrior, and harvest. I also love my old skool mostly between the years of 1991 to 1998,My first 12" record i ever bought was rebel mc and double trouble with a track called (street tuff) back in summer 1989 ,it was a hip house tune ,Witch when i look back now it was really the very biginnings of early jungle dnb ,The first tunes i can remember that i would class as early "jungle" when i look back was probably the ragga twinns (homeless problem) and rum and black (wicked) witch were both out some time in summer 1991,And of course lenny d ice ( we are i,E) you can not beat that heavy bass line and wicked sample that when played even to day can make you want to get down low and do the one foot skank,OH And also the 1991 tunes (The bouncer) By kick like a mule,And the classic early jungle techno tune (pump up the sound) by Flex and on the flip side a tune by DJ A sides called (Expressions),OH and who can for get noise factory's "(The buzz) What a classic tune, but if i had the time i could think of lots and lots ,Any way the first two tunes i can remember actually refering to them as "jungle techno",and not hardcore witch i have lots of arguments about with people because some younger ravers say the term jungle was not being said untill around the summer of 1993 witch i think is a real joke and shows me they were not around in the early 90s or they just do not have a clue because like i say the first two tracks i was calling "jungle tech" was the massive tune by "A guy called gerald" ( 28 gun badboy) witch first came out on a dubplate around autumn 1991 and later general release around spring 1992, The other was by c.m.c called (jungle fever) witch came out in early 1992 on the b side of a track on limited E records ,a good label at the time, any way Both tracks i thought at the time was not hardcore but jungle techno witch i can remember being said by mcs such as mc mad p (patrick) ,mc lenni, bassman, moose, manparis and robbie dee all around the summer of 1991 . I started to get properly into the scene around the start of 1991 where it all began for me as a young 15 year old dedicated jungle raver ,Because be for that in the late 80s i only really liked hip hop such as N.W.A and later ice cube, easy e ,mc ren and dr dre who where just as good when they split also artists like big daddy kane, black sheep and public enemy i did like hip house records like rebel mc,jungle brothers ,silver bullet ,fast eddie and the cult jam i never really got into the house ,garage ,acid house and european techno that a lot of djs were playing at this time i think i thought the early rave scene between 87 to 90 had a hippy vibe, but when they started useing more hip hop ,ragga samples, bass and breakbeats on more of the records in the early 1991 rave scene i took more notice ,it was labels like shut up and dance ,ibiza recs and suburban bass recs that were doing it ,And when i heard the ragga twinns tracks and mc's like Bassman, moose, lenni and mad p i new it was not for hippies and it was deffo for me,Then i heard djs like fabio, grooverider, ratty,dj seducution,dj ss,doc scott, easygroove, keith suckling, topbuzz,dj sy,dj hype, ellis dee, kenny ken, nookie, pilgrim, carl cox,dj trace,dj die, bryan g,ned ryder, dj ron ,badboy t ,food junkie ,phantasy ,darren jay ,ray keith ,swanne, mastersafe and of course my favorite djs of all time jumping jack frost, ltj bukem, randall and micky finn ,Well by now i was in love with the scene but i was a bit to young to go to a rave at the time,But in dec 1992 i went to my first ,I was 16 by that time,And yes i was deffinitely a junglist by then ,My first event was a nye fantazia rave some were in berkshire there was all most 20,000 ravers there in a field witch had 3 massive big top tents all with 100k sound systems in,I can remember it as if it was just last week,And the fisrt dj and mc's i ever heard live when we got into the main arena/tent were dj phantasy with mc's ribzz and scally wag,I had been into the scene for nearly two years befor i went to my first rave so the dj's and mc's were like mega stars to me at the time so i was proper buzzing ,And i was very young as well for my first rave,It was a wicked night that i will never for get ........................................................................................................................................... Well that was my first Rave ,And now 20 years later in 2012 i am still very much going to them, Ok May be no were near as much as i did between 1992 to 2002, But i still go out when i can and in the last few years since around 2008 i took djing more serious,Ok i started to dj late in life being that i have been into the scene for so long but thats life ,and i did take to it fast and now get to play out at events at least a couple of times a month ,Witch means i have started going out a lot more now,The big difference now is I just dont get off my face any more to me its not about that any more, for me its 100% about the music ,but hay liston you do what you do its all bless . . . . .So id like to big up all old skool and new skool raver all true dnb heads and all the original junglists over the last 21 years , ojs stay real ........ big props to The Sons.Of.Jacob ....... raiders of the oldskool ... www.raidersradio.co.uk/ ...Jungle spectrum ...... liquid sessions ......fizzy beats ... . differrentdrumz radio ..... atomic vibes radio ..... odyssey crew...... distinct fm ... origin fm ... .kool london radio..... bassdrive radio ...... .....and a massive shout out ,blessings and big up to -- miss eve - - pure t - - dj dash dee ... markuz darkuz - - mr botty - - lu lu - - jacks - - pmx - - andy f -- - wayne f - - matty e - - soulculture - -madcap - - soultec -- - - jo jo - -dj nitro -- dj fridd - - dj cyte - - robski - - dj cautious - - dj j p - - - tim ryan - - prosper - - grafix - - scenic - - advisory - - glt - - tim osg - - nick sellers - - frequincee - - mark lofty - - jinx - - benny colab - - spartan crew - - pepper s.o .j ... mc stixman - - - mc brasko - - mc major ranks - - mc razor - - mc mr dee - - - mc manikular - - - mc h2flo - - mc banshco - - mc brink - - mc pm - - and the s.o.j badboy him self mc ranger t ... lets keep this ting called Jungle Alive till the end of time ,it can be done ,trust . .................................... FIEW YEARS LATER I RESTARTED WITH DJ'ING AND DID BUILD UP MY OWN HOME STUDIO. FROM TIME TO TIME I USED TO PLAY IN SOME LOCAL CLUBS ARROUND ZÜRICH, BUT I NEVER DID IT PROFESSIONAL, IT WAS ALWAYS A HOBBY AND LOVE TO THE MUSIC FOR ME. 2 YEARS AGO I COMPLETLY RESTARTED WITH THE MUSIC AND KEEP PUSHING IT IN ALL WAYS AND DIRECTIONS .....
