Ableton Live 6 Don't DJ Hey there. My name's Rowan Canute and I'm a 30 year old from the South of England. At the age of 15 I discovered electronic music and started going to endless trance parties in London. In 2001 I began experimenting with hardware synthesizers along side my studies, until the decision was made to intertwine the two which lead to a BA (HONS) degree in Music Production. While studying in Brighton, I began DJing as The BFG at local events such as Enlightenment, 180 degrees and XS. After a few years of gaining valuable knowledge in the art of producing I decided to concentrate solely on mixing my own tracks. Since then I've played my music at a few parties in the South of England alongside innovative UK talent such as OOOD, Psymmetrix, Error Corrective and Compressor. In 2008 I released a track called Planet Earth on SunDance records (Australia) and in the last couple of years i have been organising the release of a debut album. A little green gremlin I am music producer who has recently completed a HND in music production, and am now working towards a BA in this subject, this coupled with an addiction to the guitar forming over the last 7 years, searching for some way to put my ideas out there I began the Music For The project last year, this an experiment with sound fusing the sounds of many styles into one uniquly different musical experience, creating a strange new everchanging world exploring the effects that music and sound can have on the mind. My passion for the music began of very young, concretely at the age of 8. Listening to the artists of the epoch but especially to Depeche Mode with that vinyl of '101'. That group fascinated me,but it was not up to 15 years that it gave to me for the electronic music. My first CD was of 'letters from the Jester' by The Timewriter (Jean F.Cochois). From this day i discovered the quality of the music and I started mixing topics and discovering and entering increasingly till now.
