GLOWKiD, is a passionate music blogger, radio producer and vlogger. His aim is to synthesise the various stages of Oldskool and Nuskool Hardcore, Breaks, and Jungle sounds, driven by the impeccable 'PLUR' quote and raving vibes, plus a focus that kicked off in the early days of the 90s, under the influences of Eurodance, Breakbeat, Hip Hop and Hard Trance sounds along with an almost zealous passion for The Prodigy. From his youth, a walkman was his closest buddy every day & night listening to various shows and afterwards messing around with cassette tapes. Eventually, it was a matter of time to incarnate his passion for radio production, as he launched his own show. His much vaunted Generation X [RadioShow] was nominated in the final top 5 in the 'Best Radio Show' category of the International Breakspoll Awards 2014. It's an uplifting radio celebration that also hosts big interviews & guest mixes with established acts such as Leeroy Thornhill, Marusha, Mark Archer, Luna-C, Black Box, Billy Daniel Bunter, Liquid, DJ Vibes, Dream Frequency, etc. as well as big tributes (e.g. The Prodigy, Moby, The Chemical Brothers). He is the main man behind the Strictly Nuskool Blog, and writes also reviews for the Iconic Underground Magazine, The Prodigy Fanboy plus several other guest articles all around.

La intención es publicar en este canal diferentes sesiones inspiradas en las músicas que durante tantos años bailé y mostré como dj. Todo comenzó en 1995 en el legendario Sketch Club en el que fui residente durante tres años. Como Dj Dab Maia, durante mas de veinte años he estado pinchando en diferentes locales y festivales de Canarias, sobre todo en la isla de Tenerife, y en la ciudad de La Laguna, donde vivo. Otras residencias que duraron unos años fueron la del Txola de La Laguna y Club Musa de Santa Cruz. Participé en varias ocasiones en festivales dedicados a la difusión de músicas del mundo como Diversity, Tensamba, Mumes y Tránsitos. También he hecho radio, y del 2012 al 2017 fundé y dirigà el sello Kalma Records, apoyando y distribuyendo la música de más de ciento cincuenta músicos y productores tanto de las Islas Canarias, como nacionales e internacionales. DJ Quantize a.k.a. James Barr, born and bred in Sussex, started out in 2004 performing locally at many house parties, pubs and clubs. As he progressed he was able to secure regular slots around the Somerset, Western Super-mare, Bristol, Southampton and Swindon regions, playing at numerous internet based radio stations, and is now the co-founder at Drum& Bass Network Radio. He was also involved with other various radio stations such as; Emergency FM, Bassport FM, Headrush Radio, DNB Radio, London’s Upfront Radio, BNB London Radio, Glastonbury FM and Ujima 98. His early musical influences include DJ Premier, The Fugees, Cypress Hill, DJ Zinc and DJ Craze. James’ strong interest for music and his passion to succeed led him down the production route, taking on work experience at a professional recording studio in Chichester, where he acquired a taste to start writing his own tracks. Whilst still working voluntary for Airtight Studio's and enrolling with Chichester College for Performing Arts, this course included DJing lessons and practice, gaining experience including career development courses called ‘Gateway to Music’ with an open learning plan. During this time DJ Quantizes musical style progressed to incorporate such genres such as Drum & Bass, Hip Hop and Reggae. James also performed at NASS Festival, Bruton Reggae Fest, Somerset Reggae festival and has made a number of appearances at ‘The Godney Gathering’ where he received a supporting response from the crowd. He has already had the pleasure of playing alongside many major artists like; DJ Brockie, Nicky Blackmarket, Logan D, Turno and Serial Killaz to name a few. With James’ determination, skill and passion to succeed, I am sure this DJ is going to go the distance....Amen...
