Jan McWilliams “DJ Jan The Man” is no stranger to the Jersey Shore, working in the beachside clubs since the early 80’s. Jan has packed the dancefloors of clubs from Long Branch to Seaside Heights. His residency at the Polo Club in the mid-80s to early 90s was unmatched by any other Friday and Saturday nights. With the line wrapped around the building, once inside Jan would create a club experience like no other. Playing everything from classic disco right up to the era’s hottest dance jams. Today you can find Jan The Man on the internet live every Saturday night with DJ Jan The Man’s Classic Dance Party. I started the clubs scene during the 1980s and I was influenced by soul- disco, the freewheeling Jaz funk scene, emerging house, hip-hop styles and Latin . I went to my very first Southport weekender in the early 90's and then I became hooked with the house scene and I bought my first decks and started to play sets in the underground clubs and parties. I was a Part of largest pirate radio station in yorkshire sharing my passion for Funk soul- US Garage & soulful house. Thats history and this is now... Hi everyone im a 44 yr old mum of two im married and mad for music i love allsorts of music really but my love of music must be with old skool you just have to love it i went to my 1st rave back in the day when i was 13 yrs old in 1983 it was at the barbican in london, i was amazed at all these weird people dancing around like nutters and looking completly out of it after that event i then became one of those weird people and ive never looked back those were the best days of my life and i lived it to the max i also went to sunrise outdoor raves in old aircraft hangers we all drove up there in convoys on the motorway also desire top nights out and sadly missed i used to go out for 48 hrs and not come home id always go to the after partys then id have to goto work on monday morning dieing. I like garage,funky house, hardcore, dnb,lovers rock,soul,disco the 80's i only go out once a month now as im getting to old for it all now because its taking me much longer to recover because im dyeing for 3 days after lol My favorite venue is Camden Palace im always at the promised land events ( back to the summer of love 1988 and im an original raver from the Desire 2000AD ♫♪♪ ▇ ▆ ▅ ▃ ▂ I LoVe OlDsKoOL.▂ ▃ ▅ ▆ ▇ ♪♪♫.
