Hi I am Danny, I have come in to mixing and producing a bit later in life but have always loved music and have a very ecleptic taste depending on mood and social situation. I start my love of dance at 14 sneeking of to Donny warehouse and Howden then when I reached age The Afterdark at Morley but as the music got Harder I got fluffier and was a big Basic's fan and end my clubbing at the bedrooms leeds and Loco's. Thus my love of House and most forms of it I like a dance and can't bounce any more so now I am a bedroom DJ of 3 years in April

Pair of Technics 1210's mk2's i've had since '93, and a 2 channel Numark M3 mixer i got in '09, cos my 'Realistic' mixer was completely shafted when i dug it up after about 9 years! Nothing flash in my pan! Plus one Pioneer CDJ500S, and a DENON 3500,(cd decks). Also a Pioneer cd recorder, which has made life much easier, after recording onto old school cassette tapes, until pretty recently! I've also used Pioneer 1000 mk3's, 800's, and the Pioneer 2000 cdjs, whilst playing out in Djsville! Currently mixing and experimenting with Traktor pro 2 and a Numark controller. Classic vinyl, mostly 1988-95ish, and from '99 to 2001, when i got back into it after a break. Mainly vocal style u.s. garage & euro house, funky, soulful, chugging & dubby stuff, deep vibes, progressive, odd bit of early techno, aswell as recent, classic and brand new soulful, funky, deep , progressive or uplifting vibes on burned cds, usb sticks or stored on the hardrive n laptop . It all started way back in 1990 for me. House/ Dance/ Rave music, was a new scene back then. The music, the people and the atmosphere, was like nothing i'd ever experienced. The Warehouse, Back 2 Basics, The Gallery and Hi Flyers in Leeds, After Dark in Morley, The Ku Klub in Huddersfield, Hacienda/ Manchester, Rennaissance/ Nottingham, The Zone/ Blackpool, Monroes/ Blackburn, Love 2 Be in Sheffield, Hard Times/ Mirfield and Huddersfield, were all personal faves from 1990 to '95. After teaching myself 2 beat mix on a pair of odd, belt driven beasts, that id got in 91, i finally got a pair of Technics 1210's in 1993, and never looked back. My aim as a dj is simply 2 try and give people a good time, and mix the best i can, with a nice selection of tunes, in an order that flows well. Be it just listening @ home, whilst driving 2 work and back, or letting yourself go on the dancefloor, on that 1 night u get now and again, to leave lifes troubles behind, that's what it's all about! It should never be about the dj and his/her ego. That's the 1 thing i hate about the scene, especially today. Bedroom or Worlwide 'name' Dj, it really shouldnt matter. Fame, fortune and glory isn't what house music is about in my opinion. Its about unity, having a good time and playing and enjoying good music. And if i can play a part in that, i'm happy! I try to have a beginning, middle and ending to my mixes, and they often follow a similar pattern. A nice opener, then usually i build to more peaktime tunes, then round up on one or two classics or ideal 'end of the night' tunes. A kind of 'mini night out' if u like. Well, that's my aim at least! Dance music influences would be: All the early Dj's i used 2 get lost on the dancefloor to, starting back in 1990, (Not sure who they were, it just didn't seem 2 matter back then!) When Djs became 'big names!' that i took notice of, (1992ish): Graeme Park, Sasha, Todd Terry, Dave 'Joey Negro' Lee, Tom Wainwright, Tony Walker, David Morales, Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles, Tony Humphries, Ali Whitehead, Masters at Work and plenty others i cant think of, all made me sit up and take notice. But i never got into the 'Dj worship' thing too much. Once i learned how 2 mix, and witnessed the mistakes i heard being played out, that the legends of the mixing game made, i realised they were just humans like me and everyone else! There is definately a skill involved in the choice of tunes and flow of a set that will keep the crowd buzzin', but i mean, 9 outta 10 dj's are basically just playin' other peoples records! And even if they play their own creations, there is nothing uglier, than some dj, on an ego trip! Influences on me outside of the dance music scene, cover everything from Rock n Roll to Disco, the Punk movement in the late 70's, 80's electronic stuff, the 'Madchester scene', and everything in between! I'd name drop Joy Division, The Sex Pistols, The Smiths, The Happy Mondays, New Order(early stuff), Orbital, Underworld, Leftfield, early Prodigy, all had an effect on me with their albums & pioneering sounds. I have mellowed with age, you can probably tell by my mixes!

I started djing in 1982, my passion for music was very early, already at age 4 singing Italian songs .. I've always loved all kinds of music, especially soul and r & b. I play the acoustic piano, but my favorite musical instrument is the string section. Besides music my passions are philosophy, computer programming and analog electronics.

Levin Scheips born 1985 is a german artist based in bielefeld, north rine-westphalia. He started his career as a dj and producer early 2008 and in the begining he merely recorded some podcasts for his private audience like just everyone. Addicted to music making, meeting and learning from a lot of good producers he has grown in what he’s doing till today. On stage Levin has found his own unique style to perform live with a bunch of midi controllers in combination with a classic dj act. The sound he plays is depending on the event but mostly in a kind of deep and driving techno that comes with a intense energy. Peaktime music! On the other hand in his studio levin is further more used to produce calm and melodical tunes. The releases and podcasts he builds are much more atmospheric, frisky and progressive. His Remix of „Pleasures“ from Max Cooper & BRAIDS or „Creatures“ from Ryan Davis & Applescal are two decent examples for this musical fashion. Nowadays Levin is a well known electronic music artist and a resident dj of the famous „Freunde der guten Musik“ & „Tiefklang“ events. He is playing his show at many big and well known events germany wide. Just check his website or facebook page to hear him live or get in contact for a booking request.

Born in Alberta Canada, my first musical influences were artists like Elton John, Pink Floyd, and Johnny Cash. When I was older I started getting into 80’s rock bands like Poison, Whitesnake and Bon Jovi. Then came the rebellion years and bands like Megadeth, Judas Priest, and Guns N Roses. These musical influences lead me into Punk Rock. During high school in Calgary, Alberta the Rave scene and the Punk scene were uniting and my world began to change. After receiving a mix tape from a random raver in school I found HardCore Techno and Gabber. Going to Punk shows every weekend, I decided to check out one of these raves that featured aggressive techno Dj's. I was hooked, sold my base guitar and drums, bought some turn tables and never looked back. Some of my most predominate positions as Dj, Entertainment Director, and Promoter where at a few of the best Country bars in Alberta and BC. I introduced to Dj’n Country music while working in the adult entertainment clubs, this enabled me to work the days at the stripers and the nights at the country bar attached to the same hotel. Growing up in northern Alberta I was born into Country music so it was easy to get back into the groove. Little did I know that that job would take me to one of the most successful Country bars in Canada. At Ralph’s Bar in Medicine Hat, I was Dj’n and mixing live sound for some of the best Canadian Country Music artists. I felt at the top of my game, working for one of the award winning bars in Canada, mixing sound for top Canadian bands and partaking of the decision process in promotions for the bar. Family obligations led me to move to BC, after talking to the bands I worked with they told me of a place called Boone County in Coquitlam. Upon my arrival I became employed at Boone as the Dj and Promotions Director. With my contributions and ideas Boone Country gained some steam and became another bar in my career I call a success. I have been fortunate to continued playing Techno, Hip-Hop, Dance, and other genres for different venues on several occasions during my time of employment. As a hobby I started a Internet Radio Station that allowed me to advance in the art of self promotion. I have performed throughout Vancouver and the Fraser Valley with dates extending back to Alberta Armed with years of experience and a plethora of music genres I feel I have the talents that make me one of the best all around Dj’s you will ever find in western Canada. Whether it’s playing Dance music for the night clubs, Top 40 for the pubs, break music for the bands, or techno for the rave, I take my lifelong passion for music and share it with the people.

Hi Folks! My name is Marcel aka DJ Demars. I've been doin' IT 'in the mix' since 1983'. When I write this I am 48 years old (young?) so maybe I am the most senior citizen over at house-mixes.com :-) All the early mixes are lost due to a minimum of interest in this hobby from me in the late eigthies. But now I am older and wiser I'm mixing again since september 2007 and- thanx to the modern media- am saving al my work since then now. You can find it at my website (maybe later here as well). My great example in my early years was Ben Liebrand (NL). He was the reason why I started this crazy hobby in the first place (thanx Ben for stealing my free time). I am mixing just for the fun of it, at home, in my homestudio. People can only pay me by telling me that they like what I'm producing... so why wait? Leave a comment. Hope to hear you or welcome you as a listener very soon! regards, Demars Like me on FacebookFollow me on Twitter: @djdemars I am @ Hyves as well.

I am super worthy to nominate as one of the most slept on emcees/vocalist in the game. In 1982, a hard headed lil' black boy named Wayne Sonnier was brought into the world. Now, 29 years later, he is reeking havok in the solar system with his inter planetary skills! A triple threat to say the least, Astro "Jiggy" Jones is very talented in emceein', producin', and vocalizin'. Opening up for such artists as Bone Thugz N Harmony, Juvenile, Twista, Paul Wall, Slim Thug, Planet Asia, Black Sheep, Technicali, Fat Joe and the Terror Squad, & 2Mex(just to name a few) and collaborating with super international producer Dynamic, Astro "Jiggy" Jones is lookin' to put El Paso, Tx aka SunSet Ave on the map. Astro "Jiggy" Jones is...a great father, soulmate, music entrepenuer, writer for himself and others, creative and talented producer, slightly warped and unusually witty, spiritually inclined, obsessed with creation, part time collaborator, online social media magnet, self marketer, professional speaker, copywriter, emcee/vocalist coach, master of ceremonies, once-a-lifetime coporate ladder climbing savant, and career renegade...gone wild. http://www.facebook.com/astrojiggyjones http://www.skitzgang.com http://www.reverbnation.com/astrojiggyjones
