I started Dj in in the middle 90’s after graduate from Specs Howard a friend of my got me into it Alisa Berry is her name to be exact. I have had a deep love for music since childhood with Mom singing and Dad playing with the saxophone she being a homemaker and pop an Air traffic Controller this meant I grew up with an eclectic background in music from Jazz, Soul, To Rock and roll My Dad’s favorite group is Cheep Trick . . lol. Not from Detroit born in Milwaukee WI. I moved around a lot because of my fathers Job, but I mostly grew up in Detroit a product of the Detroit Public School system “Redford High School to be exact “Go Huskies.” In High School and College where I became a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity house music was everywhere and I loved it. I remember after I crossed we heard my Frat brother Kevin Saunderson drop “Good Life” at an EMU party. I remember the music Institute and still have the flier from the three-day closing! House music has been a main stay in my life. I have produce podcast The Jazz Suite and Gospel Jazz Podcast for more than 6 years I’ve hosted internet radio show Treasures from grandpa’s attic and The Chris Kelly Show for SVMIX internet radio. I still do a Soul podcast called Getting-it-in Soul it has always been about the music. My business partner convinced me this year to start Djing in front of an audience again and I love it!!! I choose the name Dj J.Squared is a homage to my mother who passed away in 2004. My nickname growing up was J.J. because I’m named after my father so to pay homage to the woman who introduced me to all that I love about music so Dj J.Squared was born. Music has been a place of inner peace and I hope you enjoy my sharing of it! Born and Raised in NYC and now in the ATL. I have been mixing since I was 14 years old. As a young fella I can remember watching DJ Starski, Grandmaster Flash, Kool Herc, DJ The Red Alert to name a few hooking their equipment to the lamp poles in the parks in the South Bronx and Harlem it was on. The MCs were hyping or moving the crowd for the Deejays. When I moved from the Bronx to Queens, I joined the Gemini Crew and I was DJ Johnny Quick on the 1 and 2 with the cross fader. My Dad owned a night club in Brooklyn, so music was everywhere. As I got older and started going to the club scene in NYC there was one DJ that was such a technician and I often called him a Scientist the Legendary DJ Larry Levan famous for the Paradise Garage. He told a story when he mixed -- depending on current events, highs and lows in the City. As a DJ we must feel the mode and pulse on the crowd and provide them with a theme...

CIGAMRACSO started his musical career in 1989 as DJ for important clubs in Madrid. Nightclubs like OYE, ATTICA, CIRCUS and PACHA VILLABA, OKI as well as others. He also developed his career as a radio presenter on TOP 40 and Antenna 3. That decade (wonderful decade of the 80s) without doubt left an unforgettable impression on those who lived through dance music that was probably the most creative ever produced. During the 90s he continued both as a radio DJ and as resident DJ at clubs such as KASIM, the biggest super-nightclub on the Spanish Mediterranean. In 1992 he moved to Ohio (USA) where he immersed himself in the house and funky culture. Two years later, having returned to Spain, his professional development rocketed as he developed his own productions and worked at elite clubs particularly in IBIZA where he became a reference in house music. He has developed his own style defined as FRESH HOUSE... Powerful rythmic bases combined with musical samples from the 70s and 80s: electronic and Italy Dance - and this thanks to the mastery of systems like CDJ 2000,NX2 DJM V10, remix system RMX 1000 and others.
