I'm Jase Crawley, 45, and I live and work in Manchester in the U of K. I've been buying records since I was 7 / 8 years old and I still haven't grown out of the habit yet. I've been making my own music, remixes, re - edits, and bootlegs for about the last 17 years, and have DJ'd since I was 17. This account represents 5 years worth of my musical output in the form of mostly DJ sets - think it must have close to 500+ mixes now, there's probably close to a hundred original tunes and re - edits etc, and loads of other stuff I've completely forgotten about. I've had 120,000 hits since my first upload to here, so big thanks for all that amazing support. Have a forage bout, and hit play, and see what happens. Hope you find something you enjoy. Jase (AKA Badfinger / JBC) Happy Listening!!!

2x Technics SL1210 Mk II Citronic Pro-10 2 x Pioneer CDJ 400 Kaoss Pad II iKey Plus - recorded to WAV Audacity - compress to 320kbps MP3 All my mixes are done real time without software. Sometimes I edit with Audacity to remove errors. 6000+ vinyl & 3000+ cd: 80s synthpop, soul/funk, electro, hip hop, dub & roots, chicago house, acid house, rave/hardcore, techno, handbag house, hard techno, detroit techno, drum & bass, IDM, ambient, trance, tech-house, progressive house, electro house, dubstep, and a bit of everything in between! for collection listing and pics: http://www.discogs.com/user/steady-j Where do I start? Graeme Park, WARP, Public Enemy, Autechre, No U Turn, Alex Patterson, Roger Troutman, Juan Atkins, Todd Terry, Jeff Mills, Pete Namlook, Mark Archer Been into music since I was a kid - soul & funk on the radio with Robbie Vincent on a Sunday eve after Annie Nightingale after the Charts! Hooked on house from when I first heard those first few "House" records from Chicago in late 86 - Love Can't Turn Around, Jack Your Body etc. Also into Hip Hop big time in those days - first it was Mantronix & LL CoolJ, then Public Enemy, NWA, Run DMC all that stuff! Got the record buying bug at Uni. Cut my mixing teeth at University Radio and bought some Soundlab decks with my summer job money. They wore out in about 4 or 5 years and were replaced by the Technics. Following Dance Music's twists and turns through the years, trying most things, but not loving all genres. My biggest musical regret is spurning the nascent hardcore scene when the tracks were still sounding rough and ropey, and I missed out on the development of jungle between 92-95, picking up again with the techstep thing in 95. But I sure as hell bought a lot of house and techno in those years! Late 90s I concentrated on techno, D&B and "IDM" - the whole WARP/Aphex/Autechre spawned genre of electronic listening music and experimentation. But I kept ujp with the commercial house and trance stuff too. Spent a lot of money on vinyl and clubbing in those days, Styles I never really got into (but still enjoy in the right circumstances) include happy hardcore, gabba, breaks, minimal and UKG (until dubstep and its more recent mutations). Early 2000s was lean years for me with starting a family, plus illness, slowing down my clubbing and music purchasing. A Numark CD deck joined my setup but became unreliable after a few years and was replaced by the Pioneers. Picked up again in the last few years with more new purchases than in the early 2000s but still a lot less than in the 90s due to time and funding limitations. Nowadays listening to D&B, dubstep, house, techno, and any eclectic stuff that catches my ear. Mostly buy CDs and MP3 now due to the cost of vinyl but still love mixing vinyl and prefer the hands-on approach, hence the Pioneers instead of a laptop. The Citronic is the third mixer I have owned and by far the best. The Kaoss Pad was a lucky bargain from a friend of a friend, and the iKey is essential for recording, after years of using tape and minidisc! I listed "house" as my favourite genre, not because that is what I favour most at present, but because in a way it's all house music. To me, Chicago House (and Detroit Techno) circa 1986 was the focal point, the narrowing in the funnel of all music, that then went on to fan out and spawn all the music I love. And by the way, I know its a long shot, if you like what you hear, any promoters or anyone wanting a DJ for a club, bar or even a party, somewhere around the West Midlands and Worcestershire, UK (I live in Malvern) in any of the styles of any of my mixes uploaded here, just get in touch!

The Very Best Old Skool Anthems Eever & Underground Vibes - In The World. underground-vibes-radio/ustreamtv or follow the link on my facebook group SEE YA THERE...!!! sorry folks currently off-air but hope to return soon...keep ya posted - watch this space...!!! I had a fascination with vinyl from a young age, just loved playin records and dancing to music.my first mixing was pause mixing on cassette, chopping up my fav tunes and creating mix tapes for myself and friends back in the mid 80s - the music back then was house and hip hop. This got me into music big time and started buying records with pocket money and from my paper round - the first record i bought was called 'Street Dance' by 'Breakmachine' 1983 a breakdancing tune that was big at that time, that got me hooked and into buying vinyl where ever i could - i had the vinyl bug... I saved hard and got my first decks at 15... Being a dj was not even a trend then, it was simply my passion for music and fascination for spinning tunes that soon grew into house parties, blues parties any local event and the odd birthday bash and any other excuse i could set up the decks and mix and play my latest tunes, then in the late 80s the Acid House scene came along and shortly after morphed into the big rave sound what we know as Old Skool - the early 90s the start of the rave scene... I used to be a regular at the 'Eclipse' in Coventry - The Ravers Mecca' - the start of it all with the uk's first legal all nighter and for those of you old enough and lucky to have been there will remember that infamous bouncing dancefloor which became my second home - you could also find me at Amnesia House, Dreamscape, Milwaukees, Die Hard to name a few - they said this music would never last, a passing faze they said... Yeah Right - here we are in the year of 2013 and it has become so big with its own legacy and growing hero's and a strong following that spawned all of the genres that grew out of it and will stand the test of time and goes without saying 'hardcore will never die'... My dj career took off in the early 90s at free parties and illegal raves starting in cornwall and grew from there, some of the best ever parties i have been to and dj'd at are the free ones, you cant beat stompin in a warehouse or better still in a field or forest somewhere in the open air countryside - i can recall that the most unusual place i everl dj'd at was back in 1991 in a huge warehouse on a potato farm surrounded by crates of potato's - was a great and memorable party tho - good times indeed... I love my old skool music the most and much prefer the harder side of dance as you can often hear some UK Hardcore, Happy Hadrcore, Hard House, Hardstyle, Techno, Hard Trance and Jungle belting out my speakers trying to wake the dead with some earth crunching basslines and its at this point i make absolutely no apologies to my neighbours as they should be thanking me for educating and entertaining them with my mixes and house parties for all these years ha ha... Thanks for taking the time to read my profile and hope you enjoy the mixes. Big ups to " Dropside Eazy Crew " Peace...Love...Unity... I get my inspiration mainly from Carl Cox - worlds number 1. (he is my all time fav dj...) I also like dj sy - his scratching & production is 10/10 slipmatt / dougal / ellis dee / billy bunter / mark e.g. mickey finn / g.e. real / dj rap / eazy.d / dj hype the legendary tony de vit pete wardman / lisa lashes / fergie / eddie halliwell ian.m / fatboy slim Qbert - genius scratchmaster...!!! Oh and i just love the sounds of sven vath - he is simply fuckin awesome - 'the godfather of techno'
