"Andy Gates is an International DJ & open-format Mashup/Remix Artist (from the UK), who started DJ’ing while managing his own House/Dance music event brand, which quickly led him onto performing at many of London’s premiere nightspots (including; Ministry Of Sound, Pacha, Lightbox, and O2 Academy Brixton). Since then, Andy Gates has gained a wealth of experience from numerous guest performances and residencies across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, while entertaining a wide variety of crowds at all types of settings, playing everything from "ambient/intimate" Bar/Poolside sets, to “high-energy/dynamic" big-room Club/Festival sets. From his beginnings as a House/EDM specialist, Andy Gates has vastly expanded his repertoire to incorporate many other genres, along with adding a unique element to his energetic and unpredictable sets, through the use of his own exclusive Re-Edits and Mashup/Remix productions, which have achieved multiple 'Top 10' Chart positions, along with gaining global exposure through worldwide radio play (on 'BBC Radio 1' and 'Radio France') and being featured on well-renowned DJ 'Record Pool' sites (such as, DJCITY.com, Franchise Record Pool and TheMashup.co.uk). House Is Life and i am addicted Been collecting music for 36 years and very proud of my vinyl collection from the 80's/90's. In my opinion the 80's was the best time for music and left me inspired by the great musicians and artists who left a legacy behind and music is still influenced by those heroes. Not afraid to experiment with sounds and always searching the globe for something a little different, and if recent releases don't cater for my needs, then there is always the archives. My Listening Genre's - House, Soulful House, Deep House, Afro House, Jazz House, Latin House, Tribal House, Lounge, Nu-Jazz, Soul, RNB, D&B, Garage, 2 Step. Music has always been my pastime and enjoyed the occasional gigs and live sets, but never really took my passion to the next level. Life is kinda hectic and faded out of the scene for a considerable time but now back to basics doing what i enjoy, pretty serious about my music and hope that i can spread some joy along the way...love peace and prosperity to all. I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music. Peace Love N Respect Kaleem.
