Here are the results of the Techno Competition 2023.
Thanks to Phil Baxley for participating as our guest judge, it has been an honor to have you on board!

1st place:

"The battle for the win. Track selection was interesting one, Mix19 used mostly 2 artists, whereas Mix 22 used Top 100 Beatport chart tracks. No bonus points for creativity there, so between them two the decisive winning point was mixing, which has been spot on for Mix 19. Both had great sound quality."
3rd place:

"Interesting track selection. Variety. That was really good. Unfortunately mixing was just ok with too long transitions hence on Number 3."
4th place:

"Well this is interesting mix, it does have a story to it as well. Track selection was something. Downside was under par mixing, and especially sound quality which was distorted at times."
5th place:

"Now, tracks are mostly from only 2019. It's interesting but was expecting variety. Mixing was good however the reason why it's on last place is mostly because it's recorded in mono and lacks clarity, that killed the vibe completely for me."

Rules
In order to compete, you need to follow these simple rules:
- Genre: Techno (subgenres you are allowed use: Raw / Deep / Hypnotic / Peak Time / Driving but NOT Tech House)
- Name: Techno Competition 2023
- Primary Tag / Genre: Techno
- Additional Tags: Techno Competition 2023 (Important!)
- Length: Approximately 30 minutes (not over 35 minutes and no less than 25 minutes).
- Include an accurate tracklist.
- Only 1 entry per person.
- Use the cover art provided.
- Be creative and pay attention to what the judges are looking for!
- Once you submitted your mix you can't re-do it and submit again.
If your mix doesn't match the rules, the judges will exclude it in their evaluation.
So please read the rules carefully before you submit your entry.
HOW THE JUDGING WORKS:
The competition will comprise of 2 segments.
Advancement from round 1 will be determined by our special jury (not members on the site) and they will choose 5 mixes that stands out. Those 5 semi-finalists will be presented on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/housemixespage and on Telegram https://t.me/housemixesgroup before they move on to the next and final stage.
Top 3 placements of round 2 will be determined by our guest judge along with reasons why those 3 are the best mixes.
The judges will be looking & scoring on:
- Track selection
- Mixing techniques
- Creativity
- Progression
- Technical abilities
