First - I'm Old School and a bit cumbersome as to equipment and format. Second - I'm a white D.J. and 62 years old playing Hip-Hop, old School and R&B, which I think is very marketable as possibly the oldest white Hip-Hop D.J in San Diego, plus, I have probably the best selection of current Karaoke stuff on the Planet and I fuckin' hate Karaoke!!! Nor do I sing! We have taken Karaoke to a level I never thought possible by mixing dance and Karaoke...it's nuts. You may have heard of me related to Di Mond Jims in Chula Vista. My wife and I took that place from a white rock and roll n' roll bar doing $1,800. on a weekend night to 1 of the hottest dance Hip-Hop clubs in San Diego doing over $7,000. a night in a 192 seat venue with no cover charge Thursday through Saturday nights. I'm known as D.J. BEER, my wife and I are known as "titties N' BEER". We have been doing this for over 15 years, We left Di Monds about 2 years ago when the current owner took over, we just weren't on the same page. I moved to A hole in the wall called Silver Dollar at which the Saturday prior to us going in there they did $388. in sales from 6pm to 2am. In this short time we have topped $4,200. on a Saturday. I've got an 8,000 watt digitally processed 12 speaker sound system with a light show from hell, which I own free and clear consisting of 4 subs, 4 mains with mid, lows and horns, 4 Yamaha 18" wedges and 2 stage monitors.
