Hi, my name is Hector aka DJ Hektis and I'm a fairly new DJ/ Music Producer. I started listening to the Electronic Genres of music for as long as i can remember but didn't act on it until i started Going to Raves and Night events at about 17,by then i was hooked on the Electro/Fidget House Genre Even though i had already been a huge listener of Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, etc. It was not until i turned 18 i bought a basic DJ setup and by the next year i started finding Local Gigs, I Still am in the beginning stages of booking gigs as I'm trying to Enter the Listings of new and popular clubs with my newly acquired Laptop and Mixing Skills i have been complimented on numerous times. As for the Music Production, i have been messing around with Fruity Loops since version 6 and have made little amateur tunes as a young teen. Not until i started up a Myspace musician page in 2008 did I start Releasing My Creations for all to hear. I have also taken a Electronic Music Studio class and was taught Music Production skills and technique as well as the fundamentals of Reason and ProTools. At about the same time i also Promoted for 4theDJ Events and got to go to many events and meet DJs such as Hyphy Crunk, and The Bloody Beetroots. My Biggest Musical Influences are Daft Punk and Deadmau5. also I'd like to give a most important Shout out to DJ Ellaskins, who's youtube Videos greatly helped me understand the basics and techniques of DJ mixing if you are a Beginner DJ looking to Learn how to spin, I recommend Watching DJ Tutor on Youtube or @ DJ Tutor.com I also have a Soundcloud, Mixcloud and Plurlife page where you can hear many of my Mixes, Tracks and Remixes. as well as a Facebook account where you can reach me most anytime. I hope you enjoy my Music and as always Comments are greatly Appreciated. =) 2 Gemini CDJ 210, Behringer DJX750, Numark TT200, Akai MPK Mini, Virtual DJ Pro, FL Studio9, Ableton Live 8 suite, Compaq V6000 Upgraded Motherboard.Hardrive,Operating system, Lucky hat and Love & energy for The Music i Play =) Deadmau5, DaftPunk, Paul Van Dyk, Hi-Jack, Filthy Rehab, NIN, Thievery Coproration, Interpol, and of course Stephanie Robinson who once said i have Potential. =) if lifting the spirits and motivating is not a Musical Influence, then I don't know what is.
