The D'Kota Brothers are a British electronic DJ duo comprising Nick Ellis and Dave Hunt. Originating in Derby, UK, they were known for bringing House Music to local bars in the area. After a break from the music scene due to other commitments, The boys hooked up and talked about getting back out there once again to deliver their unique brand of House, Tech House and Techno. The D'Kota Brothers have featured with many sound systems and promoted events as well as running their own events. Synth City, Big Room Drama, Intensity, House Division, Arkitek, House Proud and Neon are just a few. It was an honor to be invited to the world famous Ministry of Sound to play for Synth City. As dance music has matured into what is possibly it's finest age, The D'Kota Brothers continue to deliver their unique style of digital music.

Hi. Thank you for your interest if you are reading this. I've been mixing since the start of 2012, mostly with cdjs. If you have listened to any of my shows, you will know that I like to deviate a little from just playing Liquid dnb, you will probably agree that I also try not to deviate too far. I upload 2 shows per week, my Friday show (almost always new tunes with track listing) and my Sunday show which I tend to keep a little more chilled with my older and newer tunes. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, I started my love for Djing during the late '80s. I started with cheap Gemini's belt driven turn tables which were mainly made up of plastic. I practiced long hours and saved enough money to buy my first technics 1200...Yes, I said one!! I couldn't afford 2 so I borrowed my friend's other turntable and practiced... Soon afterward, I was able to buy the second turntable and the rest was history. I started to spin at sweet sixteen's, school, and house parties...then worked my way up to clubs and lounges throughout the New York and New Jersey area. I held my own residency at an after-hours club in Philly for 3 years.

House Is Life and i am addicted Been collecting music for 36 years and very proud of my vinyl collection from the 80's/90's. In my opinion the 80's was the best time for music and left me inspired by the great musicians and artists who left a legacy behind and music is still influenced by those heroes. Not afraid to experiment with sounds and always searching the globe for something a little different, and if recent releases don't cater for my needs, then there is always the archives. My Listening Genre's - House, Soulful House, Deep House, Afro House, Jazz House, Latin House, Tribal House, Lounge, Nu-Jazz, Soul, RNB, D&B, Garage, 2 Step. Music has always been my pastime and enjoyed the occasional gigs and live sets, but never really took my passion to the next level. Life is kinda hectic and faded out of the scene for a considerable time but now back to basics doing what i enjoy, pretty serious about my music and hope that i can spread some joy along the way...love peace and prosperity to all. I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music.
