Metro Beatz is a South Florida based DJ/Producer/Remixer/Engineer of House/Electronic, R&B & Hip Hop Music for Music Of Class Productions and MOCRadio Network. Metro Beatz also known as 'LC' orginally from Lawrence, Ma has a long history & career in music since the mid 80s starting with his first rap group 'The Fresh Express - Stop (Before You Get Started)' which was a local hit in Greensboro, NC then scored an underground rap hit in 1990 with his group 'Mind Over Matter - Invisible Enemy' Soon after, Metro Beatz would move to Atlanta in 1990 working with several upcoming R&B & Hip artist, working at records stores, spinning at clubs in Atlanta and spinning mixtapes eventually collaborating with Chris Brann from Wamdue Kids, he caught the bug for House music, relocated to South Florida spinning on Miami's number one station Hot 105, spinning celebrity parties and released his first solo House music project on Terrence Parker's 'Parker MusicWorks Label' in 2008. Currently Metro Beatz now releases fresh new House Music on his own imprint 'Music Of Class' through Symphonic Distribution. Born in Rio de Janeiro, but residing in Sao Luis (MA), dominates the dancefloors with sets made up of strands of house music ( Deep House - Soulful - TechHouse - Nu-Disco - Indie Dance ), without lettering style, thus creating a mixing of joyful sounds to the hot dancefloor without rhythmic monotony. Passionate about music in its purest form, has a professional studio where he conducted productions of local artists, and is preparing for production of electronic music, thus entering the ranks of DJs and producers-music. Since the early DJ career (1986), has always had an intense curiosity to learn about art and myself got there, becoming synonymous of quality and competence, a true expert in the art of mixing, with a natural vocation to keep the dancefloors always full and heated. He commanded dance music radio shows in any broadcasters of São Luis as YOU CAN DANCE (Radio Cidade), RADIO FLIGHT (São Luis FM, current Jovem Pan), NA BALADA (Jovem Pan - SLZ) and participating in dance music radio shows to other broadcasters. He commanded the nightclubs as a resident DJ, Boite CAIXA ALTA, RAIO LASER and PEOPLE's (both in Casino Maranhense Club) TUCANU'S (in the peak), Genesis (2nd version) and recently PUB AMSTERDAM. He played in the discotheques as as unforgettable TOCO (SP), RESUMO DA OPERA (SP) and WHISKADÃO (Camburiú) where he had the honor of sharing the sound cabin with top DJs on the national scene, as more recently in BARONETII (RJ) too. Do not forget as well, also unforgettable nightclubs Aquarius (Pi ) Matrichan (PI), Doce Vita (Pi), Mucuripe (old version) (CE), Chaplin (RN), KGB (MA), Club da Cohab (MA), Genesis (old version - classic), and Ninja - Tajmahal (MA,) Extravagance (MA), Flamingo (MA), Dizzo (MA) and others, and of course, theme parties organized by the leading producers of electronic music events in São Luis and othes cities (Brazil). Researcher born of new trends and accurate technique, made his professional recognition will be remembered by those who like or been inspired by his sets in the past and still today they are energized he dancefloors where he plays for, always providing "surprise" moments (magics), renovation on the dancefloor for those who hear it. It is also an expert DJ (collector of phonographic material) in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, making him knowledgeable about the music scene these times. It has vast repertoire of these decades making it one of the DJs more specialized in oldies parties (It knows as "flash back" in Brazil). About me, I have been recording & mixing Latin Jazz & Salsa Gorda since 1977, I also mix Latin, house, dance classics, old school 1980's hip-hop and world music. I have also played live Latin Jazz percussion at the Blue note NYC, and at Cecil's Swingin' Latin jazz nights in Orange NJ. My musical mentors who taught me during my teenage years and in the Spanish Harlem percussion clinics include the jazz & salsa legends Ray Barretto, Tito Puente and Charlie Palmieri. I also love to play Latin percussion to just about everything especially the "Fania All-Stars", I have also mixed "salsa gorda" tunes for my brother from another mother and dear fellow friend Pedro Gomez back at Telemundo TV studios in Hato Rey PR, que viva la salsa por que aqui se formo la rumba!!!!
