Steve Santoyo Biography I started mixing in 1980 (Chicago), fortunately catching a break after only 3 years and started the hotmix show (1983) on WCRX 88.1fm (Columbia College), it was a huge success. I continued in the mix for several years on the air, but also peaking the interest of many other radio shows along the way, throughout that time also mixing guest spots on WBMX 102.7 fm, WKKC 89.3 fm, WCYC 90.5 fm, WGDR 91.1 fm in Vermont, and in the upcoming years WGCI 107.5 fm, WBBM (B96) 96.3 fm, La X Tropical 1200am. These days, internet radio shows have played a big part of today’s culture in the music scene, I have mixed on many internet shows throughout the recent years, which keeps me in the groove, and also allows me, the D.J. to stay fresh out there in the music circuit. Production became a part of my ambition in the early 90’s, 1993 is when I purchased my studio equipment and started on my way to yet another passion of mine. I started learning very quickly the dedication and time consuming efforts I needed to be a successful producer in this business, as I was told many times, “experience is the best teacher” that is the honest truth! With that in mind I was on my way and finally in 1996 sold my first E.P. and many more to follow, record labels included: Hot Jams, Underground Construction, Jasper Stone, Renegade, Greedy, Skribe, Witchana, Omnibus, Fusion. I have had a number of titles released and supported by many music circuits in the United States, also outside of the USA. Clubs/ DJ Battles have been a very important part of my career as I evolved from the early days up until today, not so much the battles in today’s era of the music bizz, but looking back it was really very critical to showcase your mixing abilities live on the turntables, in clubs, and battles. Which intern created a mixing/production skill that has always made me, my own critic in perfecting my ability to perform at any level, whether in the studio producing or creating a mix. I am currently staying relevant with the new House Music of my liking, there are so many genres/titles of house music these days, it’s sometimes difficult to explain to people who just want to hear great mixes/music what is what? I just put it out there for everyone to enjoy, as I enjoy doing it, most definitely. Now in 2024, I am actively working in the studio, always learning, that’s a given…working on mixes and production, always moving forward. You can follow me on Facebook/SteveSantoyo67, starrliteprod@yahoo.com also my mixes are presented on house-mixes.com & mixcloud.com free downloads a must. I am available for bookings, contact: Steve Santoyo 773-530-5293 In House Studio, Chicago “ALWAYS MUSIC”

80s Housemaster Dj Geo
80s Housemaster Dj Geo

2 Technics 1200s and a Gemini PS-626x Anything 80's Been djing since 1983. Primarily classic 80's House Music. 100% vinyl. Born on the North Side of Chicago, went to high school in Vermont, now residing in South Jersey, USA. Dj Geo: Resurecting the aggressive 'House' blends of the 1980's in it's original analog form. Keeping the spirit of live vinyl blends alive in the hearts of those who respect the true pioneers of real House Music. It's not commercial, it's definitely not for profit, and it's not for the trendy. It's for those who remember when a Dj Battle was 30 minutes per Dj. A time when there was no such thing as Rap Music or House Music, just good music. Absolutely underground for 'Grown Folks'. As legend has it, there once was a Dj named 'Atomico' AKA 'Herbie'. This Dj put out a series of cassettes representing classic dance sounds of the 1980's. I am here to continue that tradition. Far too many turntabilists, vocalists, and musicians have come from the 80's era to have them be long forgotten due to the lack of commercialized popularity or lack of financial backing. This would be an injustice to past and future generations of Club/House heads and to those who went through so much to promote their music in a time when there was no internet. Please enjoy my mixes as much as I enjoyed creating them. Thanks!!! '80's Housemaster Dj Geo' / ebay- Search Dj Geo Absolutely positively cannot shake the bug of classic 80's House Music. Check out the live mix videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/Lenoiz Farley Funkin' Keith, WBMX's Hot Mix 5, T-Chablis & Easy Lee, Chip E., Adonis, Lil Louis, Steve Hurley, Mario Diaz, Jesse Saunders, Vince Lawrence, Duane Bufford, Julian Jumpin' Perez, Kraftwerk, the list goes on and on.

Ableton live 8, 2 Technics 1200 mk5 turntables, Rane sixty two mix and Serato scratch Live. I Spinn, I Backtrack, I Que, I filter sweep, I crossfade therefor I am Abraham “tackieman”Rios I can remember back in Chicago around ’81 I was about 12 yrs. old. My cousins and I went to a party at St. Romans (Catholic church). when we turn the corner I heard the music. The sound got louder and louder, The beat was pounding and the bass line repeated over and over. My hairs stood up on the back of my neck as my 2 cousins and I walk through the gate, I can remember the lyrics and I was in awe!!! (Liaisons Dangereuses Los Niños Del Parque), I ask, what is that guy doing over there with those records and those 2 record players . My cousins (Tony and Vince), told me he was a dj and he was mixing the records. I was hypnotize on what he was doing and turn to my cousins and said that I was going to become a dj. I remember going to Voz Hispanica (if I spelled it correctly ), Loop Records, Imports and Gramaphones Records. I can remember that Domestics were $1.99 and imports were $2.99 and that is how I separated them in my crates. I remember buying my first turntables!!! They where from Radio Shack. They were Realistic Lab 4 30’s. That party and that trax changed my life forever!!!!!!. Hot mix 5

I was a DJ in the early 80's and stopped mixing in the late 90's. A few fellow DJ's ask if I would start mixing again. So I did! I didn't realize how much I missed being in the mix. I thank all my friends and followers for encouraging me to do it all over again. Thanks to House-Mixes too for allowing me to share my talent with the world! I play 80's and 90's music. Classic Chicago House, Freestyle, Progressive and Club Dance Music. I also enjoy Soulful and Deep House. Look out for my Kickin Mixes! You can also catch my mixes on Soundcloud. https://soundcloud.com/geraldo-roman
