It is with a heavy heart I have decided to retire from "paid" Dj work. I have had over 30 years in the game and have played to 10 people and a club at capacity of over 5000. I have two Dennon HS5500 which is like having 4 turntables since you can play 2 tracks from the same player along with a DJM-600-K PIONEER MIXER. aahhh You don't want to know!!!! but mostly my own home made mixes specially done for the party I do. I like to do a "show" of what people have requested ahead of time so I like to make a mix or two with extra effects and get rid of all the boring intros and outros that sometimes seem they go forever. I am a paralegal in the day time. I have been working there for 16 years and I ;also do hair in the evenings. I ;love cutting hair and doing "Glamour" make up. ; Also, I ;dj on the weekends mainly for "fundraiser". I ;like to help people that are suffering from Alzheimers since my dad was just diagnosed with it, I also do it for people with Cancer and Aids by donating my time and money. My dad was a musician all his life so I have the music in me but as I was growing up I loved to hear really high energy disco, and then tribal, techno, rave but I now enjoy the diva house music with a touch of tribal touch.

Music has always been part of my life, and I've been around for quite awhile now. i started djing back in high school at 14 but my love of music started when i was 5. ive played everywhere from house parties to clubs and even radio and will play anywhere the music takes me. this is a journey i started long ago and no matter where i am this is my passion. so sit back and take a ride with me and enjoy the music. I am a true Old School Style DJ... Started DJing while attending South Gate High back in 1985. Back when KDAY was an AM radio station, and had TonyG as one of the their DJs. In fact it was after seeing TonyG DJing at La Casa Camino Real (off of Washington and Oak in Downtown LA) that I began to start DJing myself. Over the years I have mixed at several of the known clubs in Hollywood, Los Angeles, El Monte, Huntington Park, Long Beach, and several other cities within LA / Orange counties. Than for about 15 years I worked as a Freelance Lighting Audio, Video tech, and DJ as well, providing my DJing services in in the Special Events industry. Most of which were weddings, private parties, and corporate events. I mix both English and Spanish music with a music library of over 80,000 songs covering most genres of music from the most current hits of today and going back as far as the 50's & 60's. I recently moved to Reno, Nevada to be close to my parents who are getting up there in age, so I could spend quality time with them in their remaining years.

Ho iniziato a mixare musica verso la fine degli anni 70 nei club, influenzato dai suoni armonici, beat e groove del Jazz, Soul, Funk e da studi musicali (5 anni di pianoforte). Dopo un periodo molto proficuo (musicalmente parlando) e lungo (21 anni), ho interrotto l'arte del dj'ing nelle discoteche dedicandomi solo esclusivamente alla pratica e piacere personale. Ho sempre coltivato e mai accantonato il mondo musicale così, con l'avvento delle tecnologie digitali, ho riscoperto l'utilizzo della tecnica 'vinilica' nelle nuove apparecchiature elettroniche, trovando nuova linfa e nuovi stimoli, e con l'aiuto di tutti quei nuovi servizi di streaming ho anche trovato alcuni grandi DJ's provenienti da tutto il mondo con i quali confrontarmi per tecniche e stili musicali. Al giorno d'oggi Soulful, Funk & Disco House sono le mie preferenze, ma senza mai dimenticare quel suono 'antico' che ha influenzato tutte queste nuove correnti musicali. Mixing House Music - the Alan Mckenzie Way House Music hit me like a runaway train in the late 1980s. I'd never been much of a clubber up until about 1987, when I was persuaded to go out clubbing a couple of times with friends. While there were some good tunes around at the time - I'm thinking of "Word Up!" by Cameo and "Let it All Blow" by Dazz Band - it was the first time I heard "Pump Up the Volume" by M|A|R|R|S that pulled me into the House Music scene. So, suddenly I was in London's Limelight every week, waving my arms about to the all the early House tunes like "Let's Get Brutal" by Nitro DeLuxe and "House Nation" by The HouseMaster Boyz. Acid House came and went and I bought my first pair of decks, some fairly dodgy Citronic belt-driven jobs. By 1992 I'd upgraded to a pair of Technics and had been DJing parties for my mates in all kinds of strange places. Once we took over a railway arch in London Bridge. The locals (two of them) complained, but as it was a one-off party, they let us off with some minor grumbling. There were other parties, then around 1997, I briefly ran a night at a small club in Hackney. It wasn't a great success, but we did have a laugh doing it. These days, I maintain I'm too old and too grumpy to be faffing around with record decks at three in the morning. I still manage to hobble along to a club every so often and I make a point of keeping up with the music. But technology is also a big part of what I do, and I've found it's a great deal less frustrating to put together mix CDs using my Macintosh and ProTools, than it is to mix tunes together "live".
