23 years at the decks endorse the trajectory and experience of this disc-jockey and producer from Sevilla, Spain. Raúl Navarrete aka DeeJayKul. Armed with a great knowledge and passion for black music in all its forms from a very early age (Soul, Jazz, Funk, House, Electro, Hip Hop), he has been resident DJ in the most emblematic clubs in Sevilla: Bestiario, Catedral, BuBus. His purpose as a DJ has always been to show the public all that unknown dance music, staying away from orthodox sounds.His career begins in 1997, remixing a track for Sindicato del Crimen. Thanks to this remix he releases “Mondofonk” with Boozo Records, legendary Spanish label belonging to DJ Tony Rox. From that moment on, his music is included in several compilations, such as TARIFA GROOVE SESSIONS, CAFÉ SOLAIRE, he begins to produce local new soul artists such as Diargi, Nalaya, and , composes the music for the SONY Spain advertising campaign, combining all this with live performances in festivals such as SONAR 99 and ESPARRAGO 2000. His latest release, BACK TO BASICS, released with Andy Compton’s PENG RECORDS in the UK is a symbiosis of all this musical restlessness accumulated over the years. It combines the essence of electronica and 80’s funk with the new conceptions of New Jazz, House, and Hip Hop. Been a DJ since 96, Played on various Prate radio Stations and London Clubs. Started Mixing oldskool House & Garage but have mixed upfront drum and bass & Liquid drum and bass in the 2000's. My heart will aways be with my oldskool house and garage though. I could never part with my collection in fact, they will be buried with me! 😁😁 I currently play Minimal, Tech, Deep, Tribal and soulful House, Amapiano, Liquid Drum & Bass as well as Old Skool House and Garage, mainly from about 1991-1998 alternatively on ChoicefmUK each and every Wednesday from 8pm-10pm (UK time) 🔈🔉🔊🎵🎶🎶🎤🎧 Apart from my family, Music Is the key to my life. Dear Friends of Music Since I can go, I have been interested in music. I could never save money during my apprenticeship, because I spent everything on new LPs and musicarrangements. Meanwhile a music studio had become from my room, later even a really professional mix studio. Till this day I observe the music scene daily. Little does more joy than good sound to me. In the meantime, I have mixed more than 40000 sound carriers as well as some sampler. Of course you are able to pre-listen on my homepage my newest CDs. However, you can still discover even more.In the 90s I have often worked also as a DJ. I put on in events, in clubs, in radio stations and in roller skate discos. I have had a music studio called Soundfactory for about 20 years and produce tracks and mix different tapes Nu Disco Deep House Soul Funk Jazz everything I like and if you feel like it you are welcome

Two technics 1210 turntables , pioneer DJM 600 mixer and Traktor Scratch Allsorts from Deephouse, minimal techno and electronic disco from labels such as Freerange, House cafe, Theomatic, Deepfreeze, dessous, Sonar Kollektiv About 10 years ago, located somewhere in the depths of North East England Deep down music’s very own deep house maestro, Rory Cochrane, began to dabble in a little deck wizardry at parties with friends which set in motion his love for that deep soulful beat. His love for House music continued to develop after becoming a regular spark in the crowds of the North East’s seminal House music rave joints such as, To The Manor Born, Shindig and The Sugar Shack. Rory’s early influences were generally the whole West coast house scene, in particular the early Naked music vibe, Dubtribe sound system and Miguel Migs, other of Rory’s faves and influences include the likes Jimpster, Lovebirds, Vincenzo, & Dj Ino, Rory continues to be a major player for Deep Down Music and behind the scenes is currently involved some interesting production projects with Deep Down Music’s Rob Oxley. Music has always been a passion of mine since I was in grade school. Its a great medium to connect people in non-verbal ways. I was introduced to electronic music in 1990 while living in Sacramento; by 1991 I had sold my drum set and purchased my turntables. My girlfriend (and future wife) Anne and I were very fortunate to meet a great group of people in San Francisco in the early nineties. With this group we eventually started to throw parties, in particular Syntonic and Rotate. I have many fond memories of these and other SF parties of the time. My DJ name is result of my bachelors degree in Biochemistry. It was coined from a friend who was probably tired of my talking about the latest classroom topic of the week. Yes I am a geek. Ironically I left the biotechnology world many years ago for software engineering. I now live in Westminster Colorado with my beautiful wife and children. All recordings done with two Technic 1200's, one Rane TTM-57SL and Serato Scratch Live. Audacity used to clip start/end of recordings. Also have a Native Instruments S4 controller and Traktor which I use to play at various venues. Recently picked up a pair of Pioneer CDJ-2000's as well.
