Khoza here! Born and bred in the Province of Legends, Eastern Cape. From birth to early childhood I lived in Flagstaff then later we moved to Mthatha. Currently based in the nations capital, Pretoria. My first love of music was Reggae largely due to influence from my Uncles and then I progressed into R&B. I caught the House bug when I came across the album from The Heavy Dee Krew's album entitled Mid-Tempo House Hits 45 BPM. After that came DJ Pippi and Jamie Lewis with their In the Mix album. From then on I was hooked for life. I love all things music. Music has this supernatural ability to heal, whether you are broken hearted or just woke up in foul mood. Once you put those earphones on, switch on you car stereo or go clubbing, you are transported into the realm of happiness. Hope you enjoy my mixes. Goya MusicMan, a passionate DJ, started his music journey in 1999 at just 16 years old. What began as a hobby turned into a career spanning over two decades. By 2008, he was already performing as a semi-professional DJ. He built his reputation playing at clubs like Platinum Lounge (2008-2009), Café del Khuze (2010-2012), and Dukes Grill Lounge (2011-2015). From 2016 to 2019, he became a freelancer, touring with King Maestro in various cities across South Africa. Between 2019 and 2021, he took a break from club gigs to study political science but continued making mixtapes for his podcast, The Goya MusicMan Show. In 2022, he helped create music event concepts for The Sauce Lifestyle Café in Polokwane, including the successful PLK Plastic Affair, which ran until 2024 and featured international DJs. In 2022, he was hired by Seventh House Ltd. to produce a jazz mix for Eddie Harris. Today, he runs Goya Music SA, an aspiring record label, and continues to DJ, create mixtapes, and train as a music producer under Victor Duba at Lepatata Records. His journey is all about passion, growth, and pushing boundaries in music.
