Special thanks to my brother "COZ" for inspiring me to return to my Boricua roots, and for the gift of congas one snowy Navidad in NJ which inspired me to return to the congas and the Salsa music that gave birth to "El Mazacote de la Mexcla Salsera", THANKS BRO !!!! A special shout out to my mom, dad and uncle Ray for the gift of music and percussion at a very young age, god bless you always !!!! I also want to thank my entire family for allowing me to share my gift of music with you all, I truly loved all of those times and wouldn't change a thing, just live life to its fullest and listen to your heart !!!! About me, I have been recording & mixing Latin Jazz & Salsa Gorda since 1977, I also mix Latin, house, dance classics, old school 1980's hip-hop and world music. I have also played live Latin Jazz percussion at the Blue note NYC, and at Cecil's Swingin' Latin jazz nights in Orange NJ. My musical mentors who taught me during my teenage years and in the Spanish Harlem percussion clinics include the jazz & salsa legends Ray Barretto, Tito Puente and Charlie Palmieri. I also love to play Latin percussion to just about everything especially the "Fania All-Stars", I have also mixed "salsa gorda" tunes for my brother from another mother and dear fellow friend Pedro Gomez back at Telemundo TV studios in Hato Rey PR, que viva la salsa por que aqui se formo la rumba!!!!

- Het begon al heel jong, ik kreeg mijn eerste cassette, van Neil Diamond, toen ik 8 jaar was. Toen wist ik het meteen voor elke gelegenheid zou ik geen speelgoed meer vragen maar muziek. - Op mijn 12de kreeg ik mijn eerste mengpaneel, 2 Lenco platendraaiers en pak platen (afgedankt uit de jukebox). - Hiermee kon ik muziek draaien voor mijn vriendjes en vooral voor de buren, die moesten wel meeluisteren. - Ik had (nog steeds) 3 passies, informatica, basketbal en muziek. Ik studeerde, elektronica, informatica, kok en hotelmanagement. - Op mijn 18de speelde ik kampioen metRoyal Fresh Airin 1ste Nationale Basketbal. - Op mijn 19de kocht ik mijn eigen dancing, waar ik natuurlij zelf de Dj was. Ik combineerde beat mixing met presentatie, een groot voorbeeld was Dick van Gelder. - In tussentijd was ik lid van DMC, wat nog steeds staat voor Disco Mix Club, aanzien als een van de meest exclusieve club voor Dj’s. Voor er een nieuwe singel uitkwam kon ik hem al draaien, ook de unieke mixings waren toen super. En vooral deze vanBen Liebrand. - Muziek draaien, mixen en remixen is nog altijd een passie. - Ik maak met veel plezier meerdere mixen per jaar. Je kan deze beluisteren of downloaden via de Discografie pagina. - Gezien mijn ervaring, gevoel voor muziek en zeer uitgebreid muziekrepertoire, val ik onder het genre Allround Dj. - Het aanvoelen van het publiek en de stijl draaien die het wil horen is daarbij een onmisbare eigenschap waardoor amusement gegarandeerd is.

Born in august 1969, DJ Pascal has always had a true passion for music. Since a young age - let’s say as soon as he was able to hold a 7” record in his hand - he was the one at home who had to put the records on the turntable and play them. So his mum says… In the beginning there was… The radio The story starts in the Summer of 1982 when he gets the opportunity to visit the studio of a local radio station. Mesmerized by this universe, he starts to host shows on different local radios. His adventure in the world of radio stations will go on for almost 10 years. Even though it has not much to do with mixing, it really carved him out a solid musical background and knowledge. First spin... At about 15, he discovers a new sensation when friends ask him to deejay at their birthday parties. Well let’s be honest, at this point, it is closer to “play records” than mixing, really… In 1987, he contacts one of the biggest events company in Braine-l’Alleud, the city where he lives. At this time, they need deejays for all kind of events, parties, weddings, etc. So they offer him the opportunity to start working for them from time to time. And so it all begins… In da club... In the late 80’s, he gets his first experience mixing in a club, La Belle Alliance, as a replacement dj. Kind of different than mixing for private parties, just as fun but way more exciting! 1990-1992: He works for the first time as resident DJ in a club called J.C. Club in Brussels. 1994-1997: He starts to work in the club Arc-En-Ciel, near Waterloo. 1998-2001: Paradox, a gay club in Ghent. 2001-2003: L’Espace 80 (The 80’s room of the Palladium in Baisy-Thy). 2003-2004: L’EXM in Walhain. 2006 up to this day: Le Rétro in Plancenoit, near Waterloo. Along those years, he never stopped improving his skills to mix flawlessly the pure disco from the late 70’s, as well as the music from the 80’s (his teenager years!) Nevertheless, Dance, House, Deep House, Trance, Progressive or even Retro House are some of his favorite styles. Beside the exclusive edits that he realizes for his performances, DJ Pascal also started since 2013 to remix some 80’s classics and even started to compose original tracks. I born in Zürich - Switzerland, but my origins are Spanish. I started very young to love music mainly influenced by letting these music styles : R & B, Hip Hop and Soul . And in 1992 I decided to channel my career as a DJ behind the decks, without even stopping for a moment, renewal, using new techniques and technologies. Inspired by many artists and different musical styles, but what has always fascinated me is House Music. My music is based and is mainly characterized in the mix of the 80s , 90s and new electronic sounds of the XXI century. I started playing in Switzerland Clubs as Mascotte, Flamingo, Blackout, Säulenhalle , Queens, the Q Club and several times in the Street Parade in Zurich. I continued working in Clubs for central Europe (Germany , Austria , France, Portugal , etc.). And the last ,besides a tour in the Asian Continent (Malaysia , Indonesia , Singapore, etc.) Giacomo is not just music ... it's a feeling...it’s House Music!
