1992 030002 Platinum Demo Mixtape (320kbps)

This is a mixtape that I had made to bring with me to the Club Fluid (Platinum) in Philly. At the time I really liked this club for its great 'Ardkore nights which featured people like Dara, Jason Jinx and my friend at the time Chris "Lixx" Isben (who I no longer hear from...*cry*). I gave out multiple copies of this tape. If you look at the tape you can see tick marks, this shows how many times I dubbed copies off this master cassette tape. I later discovered how aweful this club was when a bouncer tried to beat me up for getting an autograph on a 12" sleeve but thats another story.

I was inspired to rip and upload this tape from a discogs thread which was about the worst mix tape ever. That tape was the worst ever but what I liked about it was the fact that the page showed the tape. This tape must have been chewed up by a dog and the chicken scratch note that came with it was extremely amusing. Many in that thread reguarded the whole package as being "avant garde" and I would have to agree. So in the spirit of 'Ardkore itself I decided to rip that idea off for this old tape of mine.

This version differes slightly from the original tape. I used 4 short and sometimes cheeky ID tags, and I added some chipmonk babble at the end. I also used a multiband compresser to keep the bass well behaved and brightened up the high end with an EQ.
