1992 030317 Junglist Cyclist verB (320kbps)

This is a nice 1993 era UK 'Ardkore mix and a reference to a group I created on Strava by the same name.  I was looking for a jungle music themed group on Strava and there wasn't one.  I didn't expect anyone to actually join but I did get 8 people, one of which is an actual 1993 UK 'Ardkore producer who made a famous record that everybody knows.  I'm sorry but I was a bit star struck there.  I actually am embarrased that I don't have his record.  To get it on Discogs would cost a pretty penny at this point.  Instead I used a digital file of a rare remix of said track so that will have to do.  A cool side note is this producer even has the same bicycle rims that I bought for my new bike, Reynolds Strike.  These wheels do something my Zipp 60s don't do, they stay true.  However they have another problem, mounting tires on them are a frikken nightmare.  The only way to do it is to curse really loud or pray, either extreme will get the job done but mounting Michelin tires will crack the paint/carbon.  Another way this mix noods to cycling is DJ Pooch "Say a little prayer".  How is that?  Well I used to watch Nathan Guerra's Twitch channel.  He's a mountain bike racer who pretty much plays Zwift all day.  Zwift being game that you control with a bicycle trainer.  I used to always request that DJ Pooch tune to play on his Twitch channel.  I had a thing for that tune for a long time but I never had it.  I almost got an autographed copy from Poochy on Discogs but I was hesitant to use Discogs Marketplace at the time. 

At any rate, this is a fun mix that I've listened to quite a few times already.  I even had a bit of post production fun with Isao Tomita "Mercury: The Winged Messenger".  I really love UK 'Ardkore tracks that sample electro acousmatic and electronic classical music.  Not only is it fun to hear this music in a dance music format but it shows that the producer is a music (snob) fan as well.  I don't think we'll be hearing any Lady Gaga sampling Francis Dhomont anytime soon unless if she sees my blog.
