1992 040117 Everybody Loves Raymond (320kbps)

If you've been following me for a while you will know I have a real thing for Raymond "Grooverider" Bingham's 'ardkore sets from 1991-1994.  Usually I try to track down every single tune he played in a particular set.  This is usually extremely expensive.  The other road block is often times a track that was never released and the only way around this is to do it from scratch myself or rely on the kindness of a kind hearted person to remake it for me.

Right now I really don't have any desire to track down lots of 1992 tracks, I'm kind of on a 1991 kick at the moment.  However I did just find a mint copy of Funky Junky "Rushin" so after that and a purchase of Jessie Deep "Shum" I decided to have a go at Raymond's Dreamscape 3 set.  Only its not a remake of the Dreamscape 3 set, no.  It's highly inspired by that set and I used some of the same arrangements and I stuck 90% close to the records he had in his crate at that time.  It's also cute that Dreamscape 3 took place in April of 1992 and I made this mix in April 2017.  This is the April 'Ardkore!

Raymond actually didn't play any unreleased tracks in this set, however I changed that here.  I played an unreleased track, by myself.  I always had a love for the Anixus EP, an Italian deep house record that came out late in 1993.  I have to thank Discogs user "Magnetonium" for turning me on to this record.  Sadly he passed away recently.  The record contains deep house that sounds like it was made in 1991.  The track "Experience" actually sounds like something that should have come out on Reinforced records as they made house too.  The Experience track uses all the clichéd UK 'Ardkore sounds, even hands in the air pianos.  I always thought it would sound slammin' in a 1991 'ardkore set and I plan to do that however, I was in the shower and I was thinking about how good this track would sound sped up with the breakbeat from Bizzy B's Dub II "Badman".  Instead of just brushing that idea off, I acted upon it and actually made it.  I was really into watching my Gumby DVD at the time and so Gumby becomes not only part of that track, but the intro to my new mix series "Everybody Loves Raymond".
