1992 061419 Stu Allan Madchesters Finest (320kbps)

This is a tribute set to a set by Stu Allan that I heard one weekend morning when I couldn't fall asleep.  It was a video on
youtube of Stu playing at the Donchester Warehouse in 1993.  He played an amazing set with tracks that I had not heard before.
I IDed three of them and then after I was done purchasing records for the summer I IDed a few more.  Eventually I'll try to
ID the entire set and do a real remake but for now, this is a homage to the great set that I heard that morning. 

The tracks  that blew me away so much that I had to track them down were Catch (2) "Raise Em' Higher" which I found was by Stu himself!
It rips the whole riff from the track that sucked me into all this in the first place, Maurice "This is acid".  He turned that
track into a proto happyhardcore tune and it sounds terrific.  The other track was the follow up tune in that same set,
MANIC "D.A.T. Jungle".  It's another happyhardcore track with a ragga jungle breakdown.  Apparently the translation from
Patios to English is its a story about a man who was sent off to the grocery store by his mother to buy food but instead he
buys marijuana.  Brilliant!  The thrid track was in the Donchester Warehouse audio but it wasn't Stu Allan, it was the unknown
follow up DJ.  The track I liked there was Terragon "Party (Club Mix)".  It's a 1992 speed track so it wouldn't fit in here anyway.

I would have liked to have bought Tango & Fallout "Intrigue" as thats what Stu Allan played here but its so expensive and I ran
out of time to buy these records this spring (I dont buy records in the summer heat usually).  I did however buy "Further Intrigue"
from Steve "Digital" Carr on Discogs AND Stu Allan did play that in late 1993 so it is somehow very authentic.

I hope someone likes this.  I had a fun time making this one and as always, remakes and tributes are a good way to get me interested
in playing records in my collection that I never touch such as the original version of S.O.S. by DMS... I never use that.
