If it wasn't already obvious, Kleez-one is my favorite DJ. Probably of all time and surpassing my admiration for Grooverider, Fabio, Ratty, and Carl Cox. Kleez-one isn't famous like those guys but he has been uploading 1992-era DJ mixes to the internet at the rate of 3+ a week since 2004. I've listened to his sets more then any other DJ of any sort. I'm actually listening to one of his tech-step mixes right now as I type this.
Kleez wanted me to do a mix for him which is pretty cool since I'm the one who is usually listening to him. The mix was made out of a tracklist prepared by him. The tunes with the "*" were picked out by me because I thought they added well to the flow (and Kleez probably has these as well). I did not use Wishdokta "MAD EP" as Kleez requested because it was the wrong tempo and I thought it would sound weird if pitched below "0".
These were mixed on 12" vinyl records except for the first track which I have yet to get on 12". I'm rather curious as to what the alternate mix of "God Intended" actually sounds like. I think Kleez was going to do his interpretation for this tracklist after I did mine. I was suppose to do this last spring but I wasn't feeling the whole mixing records thing, I was too busy riding my road bike and making believe I was Chris Froome. At least I've done it now and I think its pretty good. The bit with the two Kevin Saunderson tunes is my favorite, I was really digging that!
