This is the first mixtape my friend Chris Ibsen made for me.  I'm taking a guess that it was
around 2000 as I remember the first Bad Company (drum and bass group) album had come out and
we both bought it.  I was already into this music but many tracks on here I had not heard
before and would later collect some for my own collection.  Chris passed away from a
battle with cancer recently and so I want to upload this tape so others can enjoy it.
If anyone knows track 5 and 7 please let me know so I can track them down.

For the past three days I've been sick with a migrane and rather wet in the eyes.
I'm very unhappy about this to say the least.  Me and Chris hung out quite a bit in the
early 2000s and if it wasn't for him I wouldnt have had half as good of a time at the
World of Drum & Bass event at the Roseland Ballroom (NYC) which featured Grooverider &
Fabio.  Me and Chris drifted apart for a time while he was going to school in Buffalo NY.
We only recently reconnected last year and then this happens.  I wanted to visit him
in the hospital but it never materialized as I couldn't figure out what hospital he was in
(the hospital brand had many locations).

For those who missed the funeral it was beautiful.  They played jungle music and the
eulogys were wonderful.

Chris mentioned it to me but I had no idea how big he was into
collecting rare Japanese action figures, they were quite impressive to see.  Now I know
why he thought the Chinese/Japanese mummy figure on my DJ mixer was neat... I just
realized this an hour ago when I was cleaning.

At any rate enjoy this mix dispite the sound quality.  I listened to this tape a great
deal.  Now that I know the complete tracklist I can track down the 5 - 6 records that I'm
missing out of my own collection.
