Hellooo,
Thanks for checking out the music. Here is something personal that I would like to share. ACHD was and is heavily influenced by the early nineties rave-music back in 1993. At the age of 12 I was throwing pool parties where acid-house anthems like "Two in a room" were played. Because of the later influence of Rave, my taste is very progressive and wide open. I do prefer everything that has the energy in it. In 1996 I switched from hardcore to technotrance music. Back then I also bought my first sampler an AKAI S 3000XL. The fresh techno scene emerged very fast back then and the music fitted my style perfectly. With this music the DJ could ad an extra vibe to the party by agressive and skillfull mixing, like Jeff Mills. From 2003 things started to become more minimal with glitchy bass-drums. ACHD decided to broaden his mind to more alternative styles also, which could be regarded as a prologue and the necessary variation in order to catch the ultimate party-vibes. Techno was always my main guidingline in the music. Techno music can cover almost any style in electronic music. It is the DJ who incorporates all these sounds in a perfect mix and boosts the whole thing with the right beat. Recently, electronic vibes dominate the dancefloors everywhere, still going on strong after all these years. A good thing is that the old Chicago sounds are blowing peoples minds. Good music and a mile stone for centuries. That's why I also love Acidhouse.
The best a DJ can do is mix up all the great styles into one set and what you get is the most execllent housemuisc blowing up your eardrum. Keep up all the parties and especially the small no-profit ones, those are the best. Influences: Franky Bones, Einstein (Ecstasy), Dj Rob (parkzicht), The Dream Team (Id&t), Mazzo, Shiva, Trance Buddha, Niki's, Medusa, Risk, Awakenings parties, OWAP/OWAF, Turn up the Base (Arcade). Roy Davis jr, Psy-Trance DJs, Joey Beltram and other NY djs, John Digweed (he even played in movies), Steve Rachmad, the people working in various (obsolete) recordstores from Utrecht (Mid-Town, Twist and Shout, Metro) and Amsterdam (Outland), Angelo, Jeff Mills, Ben Liebrand, Wessel van Diepen, Miss Djax, Sven Vath (just crazy), PlastikMan, (the old one), Dave Clark (the baron of techno) the clubs and party people from Ibiza (magic), and of course my good friends and party people.
