I ;am a creative individual. My day job is a graphic designer. Music and art go hand in hand. Spinning is another creative outlet for me. It is amazing to hear how DJ's work songs into their sets. I ;do not go to a gig with a preprogramed set. I ;do not want to handicap myself. To those DJ's that go in with a determined set you should break free from your chains. Music will invigorate, energize, and motivate your crowd. People are there to hear you be you. Throwing them an old track every now and then is energizing. Knowing when to program that song is half the battle. To those DJ's that are out there only for a paycheck you need to find your passion again. I ;have seen many DJ's just spin because they are getting paid. Take a break and find yourself again. If not I ;am coming for your gig!
I am influenced by many DJ's but since I play in Chicago obviously DJ's from Chicago have been my biggest influences. The city has many great DJ's and it started for me with Bad Boy Bill. I have had the pleasure of playing alongside some of the best DJ's in Chicago. Many of them were DJ's that inspired me to further my passion for music.
