Brooklyn'ah & Snowmass Village Colorado - United States
Heh.. Well I have been with these sounds since the Dawn.. My first interactions as an "Electronic" and or "Techno-esque" DJ first started with industrial (Back in the day).. I found the illest off-beat downtempo beats there.. But I have to say this.. I am sorry to say but I think Meat Beat Manifesto were was the first productions that introduced UK styled electronic BreaK-Beats.. The first Reggae samples or dread feel came with "Radio Babylon". All the same, that is where it all happened for me.. Breaks and or ill down tempo via Skinny Puppy, 808 State, Frontline assembly, Greater Than one (For those who know). 80 to 90s shrill-noise hip hop productions as well (Public Enemy / Big Daddy Kane).. Sticking with industrial for the break-out hype sounds but weavin and digging musicianship during the early Manchester-Maddness (Stone Roses / Charlatans / Blur).. Then somewhere it all blended via the era of all eras.. Bought my first Belgian trance import on R&S and Decibel Records then dived into the Rave scene that hit stateside.. Thanks to the New York production teams that brought the Storm Raves & Sputnik.. They were rolling all the sounds in order and running "Breakbeat" / UK hardore around midnight to launch off the high-speed maddness followed by hardcore then trance into house. Euromasters "Alles naar de Klote" . I heard some ill-sound breaks at some X-mas rave in a massive wherehouse in Hoboken NJ, thanks to Alan Sanctuary.. That was the first official "Jungle-esque" intro for me.. I pretty much lost my mind on that sound on that moment.. Me being of Jamaican Descent and hearing Jamaican "Rockers" samples with Reggae basslines - I was done. Nasa touched down with DJ DB - the first official Jungle/Breakbeak DJ / Mr. Kleen and Jason Jinx... Then my first team to big up through a "U-Buzz'n" full on Jungle thrown down in a where-house in Williamsburg. Way before the Real-estate boom.. Thats when I really lost my shit.. DJs DB, Dara, Diesal Boy, *Nitty, Delmar, Panik, & Cassien.. Featuring MC Posi-D way before he was MC'n and he was dancing some ill-out style(Really).. I heard "Krome and Time's" - "License" & that dope "Drum and Bass-wise" track. Was that by Remarc? - So "Drum & Bass" at that time was labled on the throwdown heavy produced Ragga Jungle back then, atmospheric stuff was called Deep and hardsptep was that the cuts with obvious kick stiff break leads.. Thats it... Listen to a mix to get where I have been with the sound up to now. New mixes will be posted in time......
