Bio

Rama has been called a lot of things over the years, not all of them pretty. As a DJ he’s also gone by Bobby Dazzler and RDG. He started playing in the late 90’s, initially in some of Bristol’s darker underground clubs (The Depot, Castro’s), but the vibe and overall music quality led him to get together with a couple of dodgy mates to start their own night, Manna Music. The first few parties were in the basement of a death-trap taxi rank in Easton, but the party soon spread onto 3 floors, adding a bar and a straight US House room. The music was always the most important thing, but the friendliness and vibe made the Manna parties the highlight of everyone’s club calendar. The parties became legendary, at least to those who attended, and they soon outgrew the taxi rank, finally ending up at Motion in Bristol, before life took over and the parties ended in mid-noughties.
