Vinylogue Radio Pilot  (Jan.2015) - Story Telling & Vinyl Spin by Patrick McConnell.

Clip features interview by Noel Black and excerpts from Vinylogue Vol.1/ Chapter 1 - Heaven and Hell, which chronicles our families escape from St. Mary's Catholic school.

The setting is Dixon, Illinois, hometown of Ronald Reagan and close to where John Deere invented his plow. A century and a half later we are surrounded by corn in every direction for hundreds of miles. We can't see past it. It's maddening. Vinylogue Vol.1 storyline deals with the desperate isolation we felt and how music from Columbia House Records & Tapes saved us and allowed us to see beyond the corn.

Sub-plot deals the horrific de-institutionalization of mental patients during the Reagan years and its affect on the kids and parents in our town when strange and interesting characters suddenly showed up the streets and alleys of Dixon.

Music by: AC/DC, Boston, CW McCall, The Animals, The Spinners, Cheap Trick, Cheech and Chong, Eileen Barton, The Rolling Stones, Steppenwolf, Dick Hyman, The Beach Boys and more.

"I want to document these stories so my kids can know what it was like to be a human back in seventies growing up in an area surrounded by corn" Patrick McConnell.

Special thanks to everyone who purchased tickets to the original stage version, Greg Bennett and Noel Black at  91.5 KRCC, and Jim Jackson & Birgitta DePree from the Millibo art Theatre in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
